so you want to rank up?

step 1. admit what wins games. and thats inhibitors, barons, objectives, gold leads and team composition.

step 2. stop chasing kills, the reason why they are running away is because they want to live. and back. consider this, is the 300 gold you'll get for the kill more important than the 750 gold the tower they were defending is worth.

step 3. get good with a handful of champions, take them to bots if you have too in order to understand what your champion choice can do. play more and more games with them. understand what all the items you buy can do for you and how powerful it makes you feel when you buy key items.

step 4. use your flash defensively to evade things, not after its already happened to try and escape death.

alternatively use it to secure a late game kill. by flashing forwards to get some cc on a carry or finish someone off. 5v4s in the late game are big game changers.

step 5. rally your team together and go some place together, i guarantee the enemy team wont know how to react and you will have hard numbers advantage and will take objectives for free uncontested.

step 6. push when you have an advantageous lead, even if its a meager 2 or 3 kills lead. you are favored to continue winning and snowball. or just a back before the enemy laner, you have items and full hp, he doesn't.

step 7. go after whoever is the strongest/best on the enemy team, without that player their whole team will fall apart without their key player.

final notes.

i cant guarantee the victory every single time. but you have to start with getting a gold lead somewhere/somehow in the game. (most people have trouble with this, but you should aim for 80 cs every 10minutes at the minimum, its free gold you pass up on. to improve last hitting just start a solo custom game if you are serious about it.)

i will assure you that the majority of low ranking games are won when the first inhibitor is taken, i wont say comebacks aren't possible, but having an early inhib is such a strong indication who will win.

getting towers and then grouping is near impossible to contend with.

these aren't the only things a player should consider throughout the game, ofc i haven't touched on warding, meta, and timings powerspikes. but thats also for you to discover and find what works for yourself.

im only offering you here the core foundation and the cheesiest quick and dirty methods to win the match and assert yourself as the dominant player.

the majority of low ranking players dont know this.... but you do now. inhibitors and gold leads win games.

towers are worth WAY more gold than kills.

cs is free gold in your pocket.

look dont read this long ass essay here is what you need.( tl:dr? xD ) 1: luck 2: macro ( know when to take what and if its worth to trade another objective for it ( baron for elder perSay ) or ( herald for 1st blood tower ) 3: small champion pool 4: Mute everyone 5: play meta champs cause they are simply better 6: Have PATIENCE ( thing i dont have thus i'm stuck in diamond 2-3-4 since april 25th. ) That's it. If people tell you luck doesnt matter they play a different game not everything is carriable and you dont have to try to carry eveyrthing and tilt yourself ( like i do ) you cant carry people who refuse to win or troll so dont bother )

I mean.... is it really worth adding luck? Like yea it comes into play but if you play the hundreds of ranked games like your supposed to it really nets out to nothing.

And mute everyone is thrown around a lot but not necessary. Just mute the flammer(s) usually only 1 person a game don't have to mute the rest of your team. But if you titled and time flaming then yea mute them all but I would at least give your team the benefit of the doubt first.

yeh when i'm winning 70% of my games solo and as soon as i hit a certain mmr ( dia 4-5 ) i suddently get god awful teams that int feed troll or go afk after 1st death then yeh its luck. mate as i said you cant carry it all sometimes you need your team to not be autistic ( unless you play meta then you can carry as long as they dont afk. )

diamond is the same shit untill you hit diamond 1 and get to play wiht masters challengers. i'm really sad to say it but its true every year i climb higher every year gets worse this year i picked diamond 2 30lp big deal still got cancer trolls like i did in plat 2 years ago

i find when im trapped at the mercy of my team mates, its best to follow them and play at their faulty logic knowing we cant 5v5 down the mid lane or at baron like we should, we can at least rush 5 bot vs enemies 5 mid and hope to push faster than they do.

dodging is also the biggest factor when you have a known troll or someone picked galio jungle. its better to keep your MMR than your LP, if you can keep winning you are eventually slated to be auto ranked up anyway without the need for promos. its more important to keep your win rate high.

dunno i'm pretty done with teams beeing uncarriable to the point i dont even try when everyone loses and i cant constest objectives even when i put preassure. its also bad because i dont play the meta champs. only meta champ i play is maybe Irelia to an extent and olaf so yeh games are harder by default sometimes. i do enjoy a challenge tho entertains me just not 0-20 botlane by 23 minutes

I would like to add that if you can learn to last hit properly in mid lane, and attain 10/min every game on whatever champion that you main, you will carry 90% of games in whatever elo up until platinum. Once you hit plat, you need to learn how to roam, ward, and take objectives properly.

For Top and ADC it goes the same way, if you can get high cs numbers without spending the entire game in your lane, then you will win most of your games. In Top it is very important that you know how to do one of two things, TP for roams to gank or take objectives, or stomp your enemy lane opponent into submission. As an ADC, you want to show lane dominance, but mostly stay alive and farm, grouping when your team asks, and prioritizing fights over farm in the right scenarios.

As a Jungler your main role is to snowball your team out of control and put the entire enemy team into submission. Now this doesn't happen every game, but that is your goal at the start of every game. You want to learn every possible ganking path such as flanks, lane ganks, and bush camps, not just going in through the side of the lane. Aside from the jungler specifically, for whatever role you are playing, you need to know how to setup ganks for your jungler. My advice for this is play some jungle and see what a jungler needs out of a laner to get a successful gank off.

Lastly, for Support you role is to carry the lane phase of your bot lane. You want to make sure that your ADC is last hitting for free, and you want to ward to protect against ganks. You want to make sure that you are getting deepwards into the enemy jungle with your jungler when they are around your side of the map. You also want to try and snowball other lanes through cheese ganks. In the lategame it is VITAL that you are warding the shit out of objectives and sweeping every time it is off cooldown.

Those are my specific tips for every role that will help anyone climb into mid elo with ease.

I'd argue that from Silver 4 you need to learn how to roam, rotate, ward and take objectives properly. I got out of Bronze almost purely by good farming alone. Shit just stops working in Silver. Not saying Silver players are gods but I think you underestimate the knowledge needed to survive, even at a low elo like Silver. Bronze is the only elo where literally anything can work.

^this

My last promo game to climb my silly ass out of bronze got trolled by a double top, I should have just dodged in champ select when I saw WW had no smite but I was paying attention to something else like an idiot. Went 20/5, ganked other lanes as much as I could and tried a hard as I could to stop Xin from getting double jungle farm but still lost horribly.

I couldn't have dodged anyway without losing the series but I could have rallied for someone else to do it. Gave me a case of the sads.
