So let me get this straight. You "Nerfed" ignite because people were taking it everywhere.

Seeing the opposite actually. I can at least tell you why i no longer run it. The other summons are more useful mid to late while ignite was strong in securing kills early/during laning. it lost that power even with the CD reduction.
The damage was not the problem with ignite, it was its stupid short cooldown.
And what did Riot do? Further reduce the already short cooldown so it's now even worse and just take away a tiny bit of damage.
I do not call that a nerf and I don't see where it could even be considered one.
Ignite should do deal no damage, and instead just inflict grievous wounds and grant vision for an extended duration. Instead if your a squishy because your in range of someone you lose like 30% of your hp..... It feels even worse as a tank when that damage is true damage for no dam reason.
Why should they NOT take it? Do you want people to take useless Summoners like TP again? Or triple Exhaust again? What ELSE do you want? It's now pre buff level once more and having it up more is neat, because you will now have it for every fight as it should be. Keeps the Vlads or now Volibears a bit more in check. People seem to try him now that he got buffed a little.
Either way, Ignite will stay meta for the GW effect alone. It's useful even if it's just dueling ADCs
Actually I've not seen it in Top lane since the nerfs. Everyone was taking it Top before this patch.
