I thought she was gonna be reworked during the vanguard update. Technically Zac is supposed to be a diver to but he has his rework.

Zac has always been a Vanguard (Engaging tank). Divers are mobile fighters.

To answer your question, they said it's about one or two patches away. Their in-game art team was bound into the art assets for the tank reworks, and now they can work on Rek'Sai's new visuals. They said they already have the gameplay and mechanics pretty much nailed down, they just need to get the art done.

Wait what? Visual update? I didn't expect that it would be something like that. I remember they said stuff like that Rek'Sai isn't knocking up all targets anymore, just the first target and everyone around gets knocked aside.

Why do they need an art team? Like, are they giving her completely new skills? I thought they would stay mostly unchanged and just fixing a bit of the interactions.

New particles and visual effects probably. Shouldnt take too much work.

I think they also said something about a new ultimate.

But new art assets could just be for spell effects and such, they're not gonna overhaul her model or anything. Like when they did the mini-update for Alistar, they needed to make the chain stacking visual.

I don't know how I feel about that.... Her global presence with ult was really great actually. If they really replace it, I am curious what it will be then....
