Last night I was playing Nautilus to do the "Advanced Bot Testing" joke for the icon. I ended up laining against a Mordekaiser, and it is the most tilting thing I've experienced in awhile on League.

As a low damage tank, it's impossible to win lane vs him. If you try to poke him, his shield blocks most of the damage. During the match, he kept getting to half HP (eventually) and then with 1 W he would just heal all of it back to full. Half HP, to full HP, off of only minions. This was with just a Doran's shield.

Explain to me how a low damage tank like Nautilus is suppose to lane against a Mordekaiser when his Q out-damages you in extended trades, his E pokes you to death and gives him a good chunk of his passive's shield, and his W just heals up any harass you put onto him?

My Graves ganked my lane, and it ended with Morde getting a double kill with just a Doran's shield because his Q's damage is ridiculous, his W's healing took him to full HP every time he used it, and his E kept his shield up lowering our damage output.

Even as a high-damage champion like Renekton Mordekaiser can still win because of these reasons, not as hard but can still win.

you are not supposed to win lane with naut. It would be a joke if a fucking naut could win lane. Tanks are not designed to snowball lane phase they are made to become obnoxius midgame threats without carrying about gold since they scale with xp alone and like a single item. Morde ofc wouldnt lose to a tank cause he can sustain and on top of that outside lane morde is one of the most useless champs.

Rene would never lose to a Morde lmfao. Also you prolly fucked up if you got 1v2s with a Naut Graves combo considering you can kill any champion with these 2 combined cc/dmg output + the blind on graves w. you got shit on and you cry. I'd look up your profile for further proof but you are probably gold lul

Eh, Naut's 10 second shield and massive auto attack range with passive means he stomps squishies pretty hard. Like the GP lane is a fucking joke, even more so than most. Same with Jayce and I bet it's the same with Quinn too.

You'd be surprised how often I win lane with Nautilus.

I've beaten champions like Darius and Camille in lane with Nautilus with little trouble.

yeh i am supriced that a champ like naut is allowed to win any kind of lane. but oh well. i just abuse him as supp or used to at least before i quit comp.

Your first mistake (assuming you picked second) was picking a Naut into a Morde. Your second mistake was thinking Naut can do enough damage early game to break through not only a relatively fast-healing health bar, but a perpetually regenerating shield attached to that health bar.

Mordekaiser is largely considered a bad champion because these combined traits mean the rest of his stats have to be bad, in order for him to be killable by anyone with a reasonable damage output and therefor not insanely overpowered.

The moment you put a low-damage champion in front of Morde? That champ is in for a bad time. He rips their head off by design.

Nautilus is a bad pick against Morde, period (unless you outplay him enough to only trade when you have the shield he doesn't).

Graves staying in Morde melee range while he didn't have item 3116 is a show of really poor play as he should be able to both kite and outdamage Morde (unless you guys where fighting inside your minions which is the fastest way to die from a Morde).

Every good player knows that to lane against another champion you have to kill him, there is no other option, so yes Nautilus is trash. I suggest increasing his base damage and AP ratios by at least 50%. He also needs 0.125 more base armor to have any chance.
