Getting abuse cases like that is the whole point of pre-season, glad to see the lvl 2 drag go XD

this and they are nerfing his AS. well panth is now totally unviable

vscAloha13 votes

Clearly you've never played Pantheon

Angry Monster2 votes

lol k

Ariel the Cruel7 votes

Since when does Panth even use AS outside CS'ing?

Angry Monster20 votes

every jungle camp early game

EffectFX3 votes

He'll still be viable actually.

Angry Monster1 votes

you mean he is for this patch. We will see for next patch. Which this thread is about.

EffectFX2 votes

He was viable before he cheese early game dragon, the attack speed change is aimed at making it so he actually might take some damage in the jungle.

Angry Monster2 votes

the dragon change where damage blocks are ignored by dragon already solve the issue of dragon. A additional AS nerf that is listed on the PBE is over kill. IT will kill his clear times. Panth already has to gannk mutiple time sucesfuly already to have a impact in mid or later game.

I am ok with the dragon doing damage through the passive the AS nerf on top of that is my issue.

EffectFX1 votes

he'll still be fine.

Angry Monster2 votes

people said that about naut and dia when they got hit.

EffectFX3 votes

Nautilus received some minor damage nerfs shortly after his release and basically nothing but buffs since then.

Diana is still a functional AP bruiser but everyone insists on building her like an assassin.

Angry Monster2 votes

LOL what your high

Season 3 he lost 1/3 of his damage not some minor amount. plus they made his shield weaker.

Naut has not received any buffs any over a year.

Diana is not functional at all. Those that player do so at a handicap and must overcome her limitations like no other champ.

These 2 champs were so fine after the nerfs they got that they were immediately discarded from competitive play.

You do not know what you are talking about.

EffectFX1 votes

Let's see.

Really, he lost a 1/3 of his damage, because all he lost was 30 damage from his W on hit in season 3. Let's see, lower cooldown on W at all ranks (and eventually made 18 seconds flat in season 4), and then they buffed his passive by increasing the root duration as you leveled, eventually ending up with a 50% increase in root duration (then they buffed how often you snare someone).

http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Nautilus/Background

So he lost a little damage, which is fine considering that there's not exactly too many champions that can continuously lock down a champion for as long as nautilus.

Angry Monster1 votes

I am not sure if you realize that 30 was 1/3 of his damage. He is a tank he does not have that much damage to start with. You are looking at the nerf without looking at the damage he did (good way of picking information.)

The W was a straight nerf. They lowered how much shield he got from ranks 3-5. They had to throw a shit bone of CDR cause he was completely unable to jungle cause of the nerfs

How many jungle tanks have you seen in pro streams. How many jungle tanks have you seen in the LCS. They are all under powered and ineffective in the game unless you roll the game.

I play tanks and I main jungle, by your match history you rarely pick tanks (lee wu ren vi are not tanks) and you preference of top lane. You pick lee (one of the strongest junglers for 3 seasons straight) as your fall back. I think i know what i am talking about, do you?

How many voli, naut, dias have you really seen? I know how many i have seen, cause i play all 3 champs (never seen them unless i play them).

IF they are so viable why are they not picked more?

EffectFX1 votes

No, it's roughly a 1/4 of his W's damage, despite your personal beliefs he still has damage from his passive, and other abilities, even if not truck loads of damage. The nerf to his shield health happened like right after his release and he's since gotten a buff to the scaling of his shield that more than makes up for it.

You're making A LOT of assumptions in just based off my previous match history. I **BARELY **play lee, wu, and vi (I was playing with friends where I typically screw around with champions I rarely play). I never said anything about the viability of tanks in the first place. To get it out there. At the time Naut was nerfed, he was still completely viable and plenty of tanks still are. You could argue that they could use some minor changes due to the new jungle. Also, I know EXACTLY what I am talking about.

A champion does not need to be popular to be viable, that's not it works. Plenty of champions with low pick rates and win rates are viable.

Angry Monster1 votes

First off i went to your page to see what you played. I am sry that your recently played is not a reflection of what you play, wait it is.

Popular and viable are 2 different things true but why is every class of tank not popualr for the jungle? Why did riot makes posts about how naut is weak currently and they are looking where they can make buffs?

Their are reasons for these things. You can ignore fact and hope. I will deal in reality

EffectFX1 votes

It isn't.

Which is why I said

At the time Naut was nerfed, he was still completely viable and plenty of tanks still are. You could argue that they could use some minor changes due to the new jungle.

This means does not mean that I disagree with the notion that jungle tanks are a little weak.

Reading is hard I know, but at least try.

Yeah, totally unviable, because lvl2 Dragon is what has always been important about Pantheon.

Angry Monster1 votes

did you watch the video for the PBE? THey are making it so he cant level 2 by making dragon damage unblockable. He wont be doing a level 2 dragon no matter what. The AS nerf is completely different and is going to pull him directly out of the jungle.

Tkerst5 votes

dragon farting fire looks like a buff to me

Meruvin4 votes

Pantheon doesn't deserve his dragonslayer skin anymore. lol

ƒæµ3 votes

Oh well. I see Pantheons in gold all day not doing dragon until 13 mins it's sad.

Narasimha3 votes

Thats...not really sad. By this point, most people have actually realized that Panth can and will do drag early. Meaning most of the time, its probably warded. Its not worth the risk to do it early considering it takes him a good minute or so to do it.

A Slime Appears2 votes

I had an allied Pantheon solo dragon every time it was up (think he got 4 times, maybe 3). It blew my fucking mind that the enemy team never warded the thing, not even once. Gold looks a lot like bronze sometimes >_>

GnomeDigest3 votes

I couldnt believe it even went live when it was so easy to juggle dragon to where it literally did no damage the entire fight. Riot's internal testing leaves much to be desired.

Stuff like Panth/Fiora slipping through the cracks I can understand but not something so basic as juggling the dragon. I mean did they even internally test taking dragon more than once? Within 5 minutes the juggling problem would be glaringly obvious.

DaCush1 votes

What does it matter, it's fixed and it's pre-season. Best time to make big changes/tests.

Angry Monster2 votes

i think they are messing up other dragon changes

The Dragon Slayer buff has received a few changes Dragon's Might has been reduced to 6% from 8% +15% damage to towers and buildings is now granted at two stacks instead of four. +15% damage to minions and monsters is now granted at four stacks instead of two.

Great so buff 4 is completely worthless now. Who is having problems with the minions and jungle creeps at 30+ minutes of the game. only 2 mobs are effected by this buff at this delay, Dragon and Baron. This is very underwhelming

Junkο10 votes

Actually Baron minions are unkillable unless your team had some great DPS. So this buff will help a lot, if you somehow manage to get 4 stacks anyway...

Angry Monster1 votes

i haven't had an issue if its the right time of the game. Sure it helps with baron. I said that. But thats all it is doing. Unless you think dragon should be a gate keeper for baron.

Though i would say that defeats the purpose of dragon.

edit never mind it was pointed out that i did not read correctly your post.

You said baron. He said baron minions. As in the minions that are buffed by the baron's buff.

Angry Monster2 votes

OPPS my bad. Its late and missed the minions part.

Sohleks1 votes

I think they're moving minion and monsters to 4 because dragon is included in the minion/monster category meaning taking dragon makes taking future dragons easier causing snowballing.

You know I think it would make sense to specifically exclude dragon from that effect. It feels strategic if it helps on baron but somehow not on itself if you get what I'm saying

Dragon is supposed to be harder to take after each stack, however it's almost the opposite.

CataclysmCrash1 votes

What, so no juggling just to fuck over Shaco?

darkdill1 votes

The issue was that Champions like Zyra or Malzahar could juggle the Dragon's attacks when they are not intended to.

Besides, Riot wants to rework Shaco, so they probably won't care much if this change screws him over.

HeadHonchkrow1 votes

The rework is a VU(hopefully), and I never juggled dragon with Shaco as i solo'd it

Sukishoo1 votes

No, the rework is both a VU and Kit update.. they've said they plan on changing a few things with him, especially have cool ideas for what his ult can do.

HeadHonchkrow2 votes

So, like a Singed rework, right? God, I see horrible things happening to Shaco like "Aspect of the Jester"

Sukishoo1 votes

Yeah, something like Singed, Cassi, ect is what the post they lasted talked about him in sounded like.

Oh dear I'd hope not. Don't want another screwy stacking ability.

HeadHonchkrow1 votes

Like Shaco's JITB, hopefully. I want something cool to happen to that, too, like maybe it doesn't last for like, 5 seconds and lasts longer

NewGrange1 votes

are they going to revert the pantheon attack speed nerf so?

HeadHonchkrow1 votes

YES!

HexTechBomber1 votes

I've done legit strats with teammates to 3min Dragon with Nunu Jungle and everyone moving around to bounce the aggro of Dragon now. While it's actually pretty good and works decently. I'd be sad to see some changes to things. While I'm all for the changing so you can't dodge it but that removes the fun of being able to block it (Fiora, Jax, Pantheon, am I missing anyone?).

Easiest with my strat above is that you take all 5, invade enemy blue/red (depending on the side your on) and then take that and then push down toward Dragon at 3 mins to take the 1st Buff and walk back to lane with a early dragon buff giving you a slight advantage.
