@Riot: Did you intentionally stop work on the "Warded" ping to screw over chat-restricted players?

Whenever you're chat restricted, you can't use your limited posts to say "Warded" because it's too wasteful. Unfortunately, using the existing pings to try and tell your teammates an area is warded is SUPER misleading.

Riot seemed to be working on a "Warded" ping a while back, but nothing's been heard about it since. Now, this might be tinfoil hat paranoia speaking, but I think they DELIBERATELY stopped work on it to make people with chat restrictions have a harder time communicating with others!

Care to debunk me, Riot?

I can debunk you.

Lots of projects are started, then are given the trademarked "soon". There's too much going on and I'm not entirely sure who's working on what.

I prefer there not to be a way for chat restricted players to have any communication with me.

Just ping danger in the bush, I know what you mean. I don't want to have a ping wheel with 19 different options. Four is 2 more than what's already needed.

The thing is, at one point there were data-mined files for a "Warded" ping (I think it was a few months ago), but they were removed a day later. Besides, a "Warded" ping should be relatively easy to implement, and would be immensely useful.

Currently, you gotta type out "Warded", and will probably get reported if you're typing instead of dodging skillshots.
