The problem is not Cho one-shotting

Disulfiram··12 votes·1,029 views

The problem is Cho (or other tanks) being able to one-shot faster and more reliably than some assassins. It is fine that assassins' burst is delayed, it adds a chance for counterplay - the problem is that other classes have not received this treatment. It is fine that Draven kills anyone, really - what is not fine is that he can do that faster and more reliably than, for example, Zed. It is fine that Cho one-shots (he always could, though it was harder before), the problem is when he can do that faster than Leblanc.

So please RITO, give the same "burst-delaying" treatment to the other classes too. https://ci.memecdn.com/8241314.jpg

But Draven doesn't have escapes or roaming like assassins. And isn't that what defines them more than burst? Or even crazy sudden out of nowhere engages. Any non-Twitch adc can't do that. Yes, they have burst, dps and all that. But you prettymuch know where they are.

A walking laser tower of instant death is as much of an issue as a walking fortress that also deals in instant death.

So what if Draven can't roam? He can just kill everything infront of him and be successful because the other team wont be able to ignore him.

There is a kinda large issue with a supposedly DPS focused champ deletes people in a few undodgeable hits, and this goes for a few others along with draven x)

Which is why Cho being able to deal 1,6 k true damage isn't all that positive either.

But draven does kill faster than zed....

Which, as I wrote, is exactly the problem.

Who doesn't draven kill faster than?

With a balanced build I was getting 2100 damage an auto attack.

They could always make it deal damage over time. It is called Feast, after-all.

Could have a devour effect with a 3 second ramp time (%dmg of max per sec for 3 seconds). Example would be 333 True damage every second for 3 seconds (or 2) @ x amount of stacks or something. Even having it do damage every .5 seconds for 1 second (2 ticks) would give someone time to use a CD to prevent instant death with zero counterplay.

The biggest issue about his ult is a 6k+ hp cho gath that uses item 3193 can proceed to walk to a carry unchecked and one shot them. He's just super strong right now even without the ult as well.

I typically use my ban on him regardless if I think the other team is going to or not.

Other than Malphite early, what "other tanks" can oneshot?

It would be simplier to list the champions who can NOT one-shoot a squishie. Once I've even seen a full tank Leona 100->0ing someone...

He had a huge amount of levels or wasnt full tank. I didnt expect you too back up tanks oneshotting.

Both actually (well, depends... do sunfire/iceborn count?)... the point though is still that delaying assassins' burst was a good idea, that now would be nice to apply to all other classes too.

Meanwhile, everyone two shots Morde thru his shield before you even land a single hit because Morde's AA animation is THAT slow

Duskblade pretty much removed the "delayed burst" from AD assassins and turned some divers into assassins. I think the time has passed to be complaining about the delay on assassin burst.

Disulfiram1 votes

You've missed the point: I'm saying that everyone should get their burst delayed, and that giving delayed burst to assassins was a good idea.

Vekkna1 votes

Delay on assassin burst may have been a good idea, but it only lasted like...4 months.

Except that you can splitpush against a Draven, but you can't splitpush against an Assassin. Thats the counterplay. They go mid with their Axe-turret of instant death? Fine, defend with 3 that have range waveclear (if you don't pick or build for this you don't deserve to win) and have 2 splitpush till they are forced to peel off mid.

Then take whatever objective they didn't cover well enough.

A Death's Dance delayed damage effect for AP and MR loving champs would be a good way to achieve this, maybe? Does Death's Dance even slow the death from Cho'Gath(he's using true damage) or no?

Pretty please stick to your principles.

Before the E change, Cho's problem was he did shit tons of damage even when he missed half his kit (Q+W, although W is basically unmissable). That simply isn't ok for a tank.
