1- He gets on top of you then ult, making it impossible to miss.

2- He gets 1938091839028490 units away from you then ult, making his ult half a lane big and making it impossible to miss.

The problem with Fizz ult is the projectile doesn't get larger with the hitbox.

Imagine trying to dodge Aurelion Sol's stun if it stayed small the entire time?

Its just lazy riot wanting to change the hitbox size but halfassing it as usual.

PSA: the 2nd option is always the better

Yeah. The only difference is that the first one deals 50 damage and the second one 250.....

Max range ult is actually not that hard to miss against a decent player imo unless you throw it from fog of war or something.

3- He hits the tank as your team is porperly positioned(i know, a pretty rare scenario in soloQ or low elo)

The biggest issue with fizz and his ult is that if he lands it on longrange on a squishy, he gets an easy kill, but if he misses it he's pretty usless, makeing him very binary.

a point blank fizz ult does less damage than his W. its pointless. and he probably wont kill you unless hes really fucking ahead and your team isn't around

Yeah they are fixing the hit box for that. Because right now the only counter play is flash. Also QSS at one point dropped the fish. Now it just removes the stun the fish stays attached and wrecks you.

I have seen (and personally dodged) plenty of the current Fizz's ults. It's hard to miss when you have FoW advantage though. Vision and awareness are key.

There's also the times a support is there peeling you like a bananna or a tank takes the ult walks away from you and you walk away from him and fizz loses about a third of his burst
