How to Play Support or Jungle in Low ELO

Since I am primarily a support or Jungle player I thought this guide might be useful. Even if you get no tips out of it, it might make you feel like you are not alone and thus get less upset. If you are getting upset support my thread in Player Behavior.

I routinely play support or Jungle in low ELO. Mostly this is because I know I am not that great and I won't be the super reflexes carry. So I get in matchups quick.

When you start jungling you might get a leash from other players. I say "might" because often they will ignore your requests. The problem is if you do get a leash about half the time the helpers will steal your kill on the Golem and completely mess up your game and putting you behind with no home of recovery. Throughout the rest of the game people will complain that you do nothing. If you are playing as Ivern, there is a 70% chance that the people on your team won't know vern doesn't have to kill the monsters and they will start hitting them and steal the golem.

When playing the jungle, throughout the early game the game your team mates will be pushing towers hard and be right on the edge of the enemy tower. Then they will threaten to report you because you don't tower dive into sure death to attempt a futile gank of the opponent. If you do foolishly tower dive, you will die and they will all threaten to report you for feeding.

Another thing that will happen when you are juggling is that you will announce via ping that you are going to cut off the enemy laner with the ping. Not wanting to lose the potential kill the friendly will immediately charge and push the lane resulting in the loss of the gank as the enemy gets back to tower and often the later will get killed tower diving and scream at you for not supporting them on the bank.

Another common occurrence is that you will see a fight where its 2v1 vs your laner, you will throw in a damaging snare to prevent the flash or escape of the enemy and your later will say "WTF KS!" immediately after, with about a 50% chance they will threaten to report you. When you shield them and the shield explodes like Trigger Seed and kills an enemy most likely they will do the same thing despite the fact that you just saved them.

As support your ADC, you will spend time poking the enemy support and ADC to push them off the minions wave. At some point the ADC will see the enemy at half health and think he can finish them. Your ADC will then chase the enemy as they retreat to their tower then often as not they will tower dive or try to kill that last little bit of health and end up dying. Then they will blame you for not saving them and often call for you to be reported.

In late game you will see your role as keeping your team alive to do damage. This means heals, shields and so on. You will be in numerous fights where you save everyone by triggering locket or by using AOE heals that your team mates will think are attacks and run from. When you put buffs on friendlies they will not know what they are and suddenly retreat from enemy when you drop your Lulu R on them rather than attacking. You will save countless numbers of them and often as a result you will take a death getting the rest of your team out of a tough situation. As a result your KD ratio will look something like 0/6/6 and people will accuse you of feeding and yell for everyone to report you.

In late game if your team is losing the team will blame everything on you because of your low KD ratio and yell at you for dying. If you say something like "I died getting your butt out of that" they will say stop doing that. If you do they will report you for not healing them enough when they go 1v3 with only half health.

Every once in a while, 1 of 20 games you will be with a cool team that will realize that you with your 0/6/6 KD ratio was the deciding factor in them winning the game and they will drop on some honors.

Thanks for reading this guide. Good luck.

This is more of a support guide, not a jungle guide.

Ahah so true back in low bronze. The people escaping from the redemption, running off the fight cause pix attached to them is scary xD in low silver it's a little better but you still get adcs disengaging with your buff on and re-engaging when all your stuff is on cool down and stuff like that
