How to balance Rumble

What if Rumbles Q would ignore bonus magic resist like GPs barrels ignores bonus armor? Or what if Rumble would get some extra attack speed when overheating?

Rumble is strugelling in toplane atm. He's not a lane bully anymore. He's the one being bullied.

The fact is that he has to face a lot of tanks in toplane and I think that if we add some magic resist ignoring to his Q the problem would be solved. But not too much. And the extra attack speed while overheated would make his wawe clear better.

In my opinion, that is ok in some way .... Like trundle, he is very strong in a specific meta ... trundle is a tank killer, while rumble is strong vs softer targets ... if he'd be strong in all metas, he'd be op.

Honestly, any improvement is welcome. If it wasn't him being viable in the jungle, I would NEVER be able to play Rumble to get my level 5 mastery unless I played over 100 games.

Rumble main here.

He got some difficult actually in top lane.

The tank meta is realy.... hard. They will rush MR and delete your damages (thank to item 3211, and after item 3065 ), but they do more damages thank you.

Thank to the item 1402, he is more viable in the jungle, but I loved to play him in top lane.

The Harpoon change isn't bad, but I realy don't like this change. Not useless, but Riot can do better for Rumble.

Rumble was never intended to be a hyperscaling lanebully anyway. Either gut his teamfighting potential and his midgame and lategame carry potential or let him get destroyed in certain matchups earlygame in the lane, he cant have both. There is a reason why rumble was considered too strong everytime he got meta, because his powercurve was always bullshit.
