Yeah, just try going to recruitment and post that you want to buddy up for some fun games, and someone might post their name and you add them, sometimes it works out, and you gain a buddy who uses discord. Easy stuff, but you may not always get players who are good like you, and some might be better and won't tolerate your bad play style, so be careful not to over extend yourself.
