I am truly disappointed with these new runes.

I am really upset that we're throwing away the amazing keystone diversity that we have right now. How satisfying to see that everyone isnt running thunderlords anymore, and you see every keystone being used.

its just sad to me i dont even know why.

Because Riot is trying to make the game more friendly and easier towards new gamers... Which of course hurts some of us older players. This is what is killing my interest for the game.

If you think all the new runes look boring, did you know that they are adding a souped-up version of TLD and SRS to the new keystones?

I'd say those 2 got refocused rather than simply souped up. The TLD adjustment looks like you need 3 separate types of attack to proc it and unless I'm mistaken that means you don't have a Keystone at level one since you only have one spell and a basic attack. SRS getting it's proc condition changed shakes up the champ pool that uses it quite a bit too. 3 attacks rather than a percentage of damage gives way more options for fighters and tanks to take while limiting it's use on assassins and mages to an extent.

You're mistaken. Each single attack counts as a trigger.

What this "3 seperate triggers" means that it will prevent Thunderlord's proccing from multihit AoEs and dots. For instance, Morgana's Pool, MF's Make It Rain, Cass' Miasma...

Cool, thanks for the separate perspective on this. Either way I'm still interested to see what the end result will be once they go live.

My friend and I were talking about removing Flash, like back when you first started playing league and you had to level up to get flash.

People died alot more and the game was crazy fun lol

Are you serious? What we have now are just cookie cutter builds based on your class:

  • Healers take Windspeaker's.
  • Tanks take Colossus.
  • Carries take Warlord's.
  • Skirmishers take Fervor.
  • Burst Mages take Thunderlord's.
  • etc.

The new rune system is a billion times better than this already.

The keystones we have right now are mostly just stat-check and shields/damage bonuses runes.

Compare them to things like Ultimore, Channel-Blink, Store Credit, Summon Specialist, Hextech Freezeray, Overcharger and the runes that give you extra wards. Much more interactive and require more strategy.

Heck even the premier support keystone (perxie) they've showed has more interaction already, deciding when to use it as a shield and when to use it as extra damage (noted as not doing both).
