His rework and nerf after nerf after just left him in the toilet. He does very little damage straight up. Easily out mobilized. His ultimate is negated by anyone with the brains to buy 
, He is just trash level from my perspective.

I built a ton of ap and magic pen, my ult couldn't even half life a adc who builds no armor. I wasn't able to outplay anyone as my silence did nothing and they just out mobilized me in seconds doing 3 times the damage I did. It's like playing a sloth champion and doing no damage.

His kit is real weird now, the best way to roll a teamfight is to first send your crabs to the tank- ult the tank so the crabs will spawn as 5 eating the tank- then send them towards the squishies.
I agree, pre-rework malz was more straightforward and satisfying. I know potentially this rework can be more damaging in the end, but its very unsatisfying,
