Gonna be honest: Unranked players are a huge handicap in norms

Had unranked players only on my team twice in a row, with the enemy team having things like Plat and Diamond players.

Sure enough, I had to lose both games because my team got out elo'd.

Kinda frustrating. Wish match making would be a bit more tight in that regard in norms when I'm playing by myself.

Everyone is matched by MMR, so the unranked players are considered skilled enough to play along with you. It's hard to prove though since MMR is hidden. :(

If that player is in group with you I'd reconsider one between his and your MMR because it's either that you're a boosted diamond or he is a legit diamond in disguise.

Hardly the case in norms. More like the game's trying to just toss people together as "fair" as possible. However, there's no way an unranked player is keeping up with my elo...which is exactly what happened both times.

Except you can't judge the rank of an unranked at all.

If that player is on challenger levels but never played ranked it doesn't make him worse than you.
