Attack speed or ability damage mastery on Top Sion?

So I have problems with last hitting on Sion. I usually play him jungle, so I don't lose CS unless someone steals it. But in lane I have a tough time grabbing my CS. I think it's because of his slower attack speed.

Would it be fruitful to use the tier 1 attack speed mastery on Sion over the ability damage one? Or should I just practice CS in customs (which usually lack someone poking me).

Within top lane, if you build the overpowered Juggernaut items that were given to us, such as Sterak's Gage, Titanic Hydra, and Deadman's plate, you can easily bully out your opponent in top and clear waves w/ you Q. I don't know specifically on how you want your runes and masteries.

It's usually early game wave clears. I tend to use up too much mana with abilities, which leads me to rushing a mana item first.

i generally prefer attack speed for the last hitting. sion just doesn't deal enough damage to contend with anyone really so i dont bother. i plan on being the team fighter when i play sion.

"i traditionally reserve sion into nasus, i see low hp minion, i charge Q on it, he cant touch it without taking 230 damage"

I'll try it next chance I get. I mainly build him for team fights anyway (except devourer Sion. That's just for fun).

Build a bami's cinder that'll take care of your farming woes

I don't normally build sunfire cape.

This is mainly for farming before I get my first item. Which is (hopefully) after six levels of lane farming.
