Assassins made trash 6.22

Updates on champions people just cannot stand anymore.

This swain rework, genuinely he himself could solo 1v5, akali, yi, riven, caitlyn, and support could NOT kill swain. i have no clue what his abilities do, but that isnt the point. 1v5 shouldnt matter to read abilities. that mother fucker is so fucking broken. Just revert this whole game back to season 4 or some shit. like riot, your whole team is utter shit. i really am saddeded to get unbanned on forums, and be back here being toxic again, but holy fuck i dont even know what to do anymore with this game.

nothings balanced. nothing is being played anymore except for ONLY meta champs. that shits so fucking old. just revert the game. if not, i genuinely cannot see this game getting better period.

they're shoving meta picks down our throats, so we play them and buy moar skins for 'em. every other class/champ is irrelevant

Clear this up for me, wouldn't having a wider variety of champions viable provide a much higher amount of attractive skins? A few meta champs might not have a skin that appeals to a player, but if half the champion roster is viable then odds go up substantially there is at least 1 skin they would like. I don't get how narrowing their options would assist in sales, you have a product already made and you lower its value why?

And @op, last time I checked its the community and playerbase that seems to religiously enforce a meta, champion X in LCS or champion Y has high win rate? Bring on the bandwagoners and FOTM players. Popular Streamer shows a new and efficient build for a less popular champion? Shazaaam play rates spike. Pick out of meta in lobby? OMG YOUR PICKS TRASH! Show pick intent for your best champion, get it banned because "I don't want you to throw with a shit champion." Literally all the above are on players. Riots nerfs and buffs matter, but they do them to shake up the meta more often then not. somethings to strong in the numbers they see, weaken it. Somethings not preforming well, buff.

My own personal champ roster is about 8-9 champs. Since patch 5.2. And I refuse to increase it regardless of which meta fk is OP or not. But that is just me.
I stick with Yi no matter how trash he is, but not every player will. Lets say riot is being "generous" to Ornn/Vayne right now. Player hungry enough to give up their mains to climb or players who dont really main any champ will shift to those champs. They'll stick with those champs till some other champ is meta. And riot hopes/expects that skins will be sold if players' interest/liking in said meta champ rise high enough. Few months later.....riot allows some other champ to be OP/meta for players to pick and buy shit.
At least thats how I see it, sales may not be 100% reason why riot dictates meta like this...but it is a big enough part of reason.

So the pattern of meta champions having some time before nerfs and buffs pushes them down existed back in Dota Allstars. Several champions enjoyed viability and being a strong pick for years. This pattern existed previously to LOL and traditionally seems to be a norm in mobas, looking at HOTS, HONE, DOTA2, and of course LOL. I would further go on to say that this seems to just be a trend in any class bassed kit oriented gameplay, Marvel vs Capcom, Smash bros, OW.

I don't feel like you have really provided me an answer. So lets assume its not just part of how mobas function and is related to skin sales, why would riot intentionally aim for small champion viability when it directly limits exposure for their product, as well as desirability of something already made? I feel like you explained what you think they are doing "They'll stick with those champs till some other champ is meta. And riot hopes/expects that skins will be sold if players' interest/liking in said meta champ rise high enough. Few months later.....riot allows some other champ to be OP/meta for players to pick and buy shit.'

Why would they do this if their desire is to sell skins rather then aim for high viability?
