8 lvl Garen Q+E deals me 65% of my hp.

Not even to mention that Q is just auto attack, and E is just click. Garen is too easy to play with his dmg and everything he got. Pls make him more difficult, because it's bullshit playing against him on lane.

You were playing Fiora, a champion Garen counters and you naturally have no defenses, what do you expect to happen?

i play both champions and i have played this matchup from both sides.

fiora outscales garen. all you have to do is not constantly force fights in lane and just farm and freeze the waves infront of your turret.

there is a window of a couple of levels early on where he can beat her, but overall fiora should be in control of these fights. w his silence and q away every time when he attempts an all in.

your 3 item power spike is stronger than his 3 item power spike.

half of his kit is invalidated when fioras true damage kicks in, because his w will barely make a difference anymore.

the problem is, low elo doesnt know lane mechanics like wave control, often overextends in terrible situations and simply doesnt know how to play out a lane trying not to constantly fight their opponent. your one and only job as fiora is not to feed and scale into a monster. there is no reason to force plays in the early game on this champion that you dont know 100% to be successful in advance.

if you want to make a play in a garen lane on fiora early on, make a roam play. but honestly, you dont need to. your scaling is massive. the best option you can take is just not feed until you can carry.

Lol his E damage wont get reduced.

Melee against Melee, there is no counter play against Garen. He builds damage and getting armor/mr because of his W, it's god damn riduculous, his passive regens him hp, and an ult which deals magic/true damage. If Garen builds Triforce + Yomuu, there is no way to outrun him or kite him at all.

here's the thing if there is only 1 unit being hit by it the damage is actually doubled.

his w only grants 40 armor/mr you should be more worried about the initial part of it's active. his passive punishes people for not harassing him with any dmg. the ult is only deadly if he manages to get you to a good 30-50% hp. if garen is building those items he is going to be a bit squishy without his w active so i would suggest playing a champ with atleast 1 hard cc so that he can't just remove it with his q, but remember that his w does give 60% tenacity for the first split second

How u can harass him if u're melee, you can't even engage, if u engage u will get silenced and E'd down.

I thought the same once he built yomuu + triforce early game that he will be squishy but he was not.

He could actually tank more shit than me with defensive items.

Yes I agree he is balanced against ranged champions, but against other melees he is just an obliterator, u can't even touch him.

EDIT:

once he gets these 2 items, he just builds full tank, and still deals as much damage as in laning phase, with ability to soak all damage you throw at him.

you play around cooldown windows. force or bait out abilities and then trade when hes at a disadvatage.

so pretty much like against any champion who is gated by cooldowns.

if garen spins on more than one target, his spin damage gets cut down by 25%.

the counterplay is dependent on the matchup and who is fighting who.

you could say at 4 items there isnt counterplay for garen against fiora either. so in this matchup, fioras job is just to farm, scale and stop trying to fight him. hell eventually beat him as fioras true damage ramps up.

he has all the tools he needs to just play safe and farm.

ops item build is also pretty garbage. he should have rushed tiamat. you need the waveclear on fiora. otherwise you spend your entire manapool to match the garens waveclear.
