Would it be possible for the minion models to have a little bit of diversity?

Even if there were to be only something like 3 different models for caster and melee minions, I think it would be pretty cool if they just looked a little different.

Maybe each model could even have their own name.

And I do understand that they are small models, but I think something could be done, just to make it a little more fun.

Imagine cheering your minions on

"Get him Bob!"

"Noooooooo! You killed Bob!"

Lol, that'd be great if you had like a .000001% chance for a minion to spawn named Bob or Sally or something like that.

Why would it even need to be that low of a percent?

Why couldn't every wave have a Bob, Sally, Joe, Davey, Loretta, and Hank?

.. just for example.

And yes they would eventually stack up so you would potentially see two Bobs together, but that wouldn't bother me.

Then again, if they had enough diversity, there could be an alternation every 3 waves or so.

What if they had special minions with references to champions? A caster with Vayne's crossbow on its back, a melee with Yi's eye helmet, one with Mundo's purple tongue, or Cass's snake tail poking out, etc. They'd show up pretty rarely, so each team would only get 2 or 3 per game.

Or, maybe just references to the different countries/regions (a Demacian minion, Noxian minion, Shuriman, etc).

I'm not the first to suggest this, but it was once suggested that if a minion last-hits you it flashes a Mastery 7 banner.

Well, perhaps that low could be too low, but still, it should be low enough where seeing Minion Bob should be a lucky event, and not something you always see.

Fair enough. I would be cool with that.

But I would still want more than 1 rare event.

Maybe Bob could be one lucky wave, but the next wave might have Davey.

Then on a really rare wave you'll get Bob and Davey

Could get confusing. You use their consistent appearance to distinguish casters from siege minions while farming, especially to know how many tower shots they can take before you last hit.

Bob, Sally, and Joe would always be melee minions

Davey, Hank, and Loretta could always be caster minions.

And of course you could have a name for the Siege minion, but they already have a unique model.

Remember Star Guardian event? Melees were difficult to distinguish from casters.

Or just completely re-do them. Creeps in Dota look cool and have some personality. Minions look like trash

Maybe not melees and ranged, but for every cannons and supers? The reasoning is that they're bigger, so there's more room for details. They'll also not be confusing with other minions (there's no way you're gonna confuse a cannon for a melee, caster, or super, but back with star guardian minions, melees and casters looked really similar).

Also the stacking in a large wave thing.

No, .. everyone else seems to understand what I am talking about lol.

Basically they just have different models. They don't look identical. All of their stats and attacks would be the exact same.

I don't want my minions talking, then I'll feel bad for killing them. I'd have to have a moment of silence for them in which my enemy is sure to take advantage of and end up killing me ;__;

Lol I never said I wanted them to talk. That would be annoying.

I was mostly thinking, one could look a bit pudgier, one might have a beard, maybe one is thin with glasses, one is clearly female, .. just model differences.
