Cassiopeia Discussion

Cassio has always been one of my favorite champs aesthetically. However, her kit feels like it offers too little reward for all the work required outside of niche circumstances.

I've watched even top cassio players like King Cobra struggle to land The Q. It's relatively short range ( for a mid laner) + the delay make it one of the most frustrating skill shots to hit in the game. The reward for hitting it feels very lacking. A few ticks of weak poison damage and a short boost to passive stacks. I also wouldn't mind a buff to the 20 percent move speed when champs like ahri don't even have to hit a target for a similar buff.

The W also feels weak. It takes a very long time to spread out when literally every other zoning champ from ziggs to karthus to anivia have the full radius immediately at cast. The 25-45 percent slow also feels irrelevant. Something like viktor's heavy slow + stun would be much more noticeable/ worth investing in.

The E drains mana like crazy, esp early game. The mana nerfs means that early game you only gain about 10 mana per kill. If you don't want the E to go on cd you have to Q first, so that means you are spending 40 mana at rank 1 for a 10 mana refund per creep ( and thats only if you last hit, If they shove you have to oom your bar to keep up)

The ult remains unreliable when champs like annie simply do it better.

I just want to enjoy playing cassio but the laning phase feels extremely weak. I run oom trying to keep the lane even if they push, and it's... hard to harrass with Q. Mana problems when trying to harrass and maintain control of creep wave. Squishy all game with no real dash means dueling is often the wrong choice. Her one niche is a situation where her team has capable peelers and group to take advantage of her team fighting damage, which is asking alot in solo queue and makes her really one dimensional imo.
