A suggestion for preseason Plants

So the plants that riot intends to bring are interesting to say this least. If their intentions of the plants being compensation for junglers who want to hold on to their smites for teamfights/objectives are truly the goal, then I have a way to make them better.

After the first 5 mins, when a champion with a jungler item clears a camp without using smite, a plant spawns nearby. Wolf/gromp/raptors/krugs spawn the bombs, scuttle spawns the healing plants and red/blue spawn the vision plants. The plants de-spawn when a new one is spawned or after 10 mins of not being used.

This way the jungler is in control and the plants aren't as random. It requires junglers foresight to properly use them and since plants are neutral, they could benefit enemy as much as your team.

the problem the fact it seems like a gimmicky system that feels bad when it actually has an effect on the game because it seems so random and losing because of RNG and something that takes no "skill" to abuse feels really bad (reasons people rage at hearthstone)

100% i wouldnt mind plants if they spawned in specific areas and wasnt random or as a jungler there was an extra effect where i could pick a certain smite and i could set plant locations in my own jungle.

players want to feel like they have a choice

That's kinda what I suggested, and I agree. If the plant end up being just new mini camps that are outside the jungler's control then they are a detriment.
