Any Katarinas out there that kick butt with needing to ult?

Any Katarinas out there that kick butt without needing to ult, cause it seems like if someone has a stun in their arsenal most Kats close the briefcase and go home. I saw Kat vs Liss earlier in a game I played. Soon as the game started Kat damn there had to be coaxed into lane. I know this is a random game but I see it a lot. I don't play her for whatever reason ( don't like assassins I guess), is she really that helpless in general if you have a stun or two on your team? She doesn't have mana. Why doesn't she cs and pick at fools til she finds a juicy target with no stun?
