Rek'Sai: Putting more champions in the dumpster

bad manner kid··2 votes·910 views

As Braum completely replaced Taric in every aspect he was designed for, Rek'Sai is a combination of Skarner and Nocturne with much of the mobility of Lee Sin.

If this champion does anywhere near the melee sustained damage of Noc or Skarner Riot really sank more champions here.

Only objection is that Skarner has way more cc and more hard cc at that such as his passive stun and suppression Ult. Rek'Sai just has a AoE knock up.

I can't imagine that she would. She seems like she might fall off kinda hard. Not to mention the difference in ults.

Skarner still has a place with his CC and Nocturne is more assassin-like than Rek even though he's still a bruiser (Due to his ult)

Rek'Sai will be extremely obnoxious depending on how fast players can duck out through walls.

Is "she" invisible to enemy players while underground? Doesn't that basically take Eves role as well?

I dunno. I just feel like this is too much flashy mobility. This could have been a Skarner rework to some degree instead of making some bug that's supposedly a female. I was pissed when Braum came out because it negated Taric completely.

I've played her on the PBE and i can safely say she doesn't fill the same niche as skarner or nocturne.

Her ult doesn't have anywhere near the same engage potential as nocs and is a pure mobility move. Her CC also pails in comparison to skarners lockdown.

Mobility wise she only has excessive mobility in places that she has already set up( usually her own jungle) and out side that her mobility is slightly below average.

Her sustained dmg is average for a bruiser, however if left unattended to gain a full fury bar her bite can devastate even tanks with damage comparable to chogaths ultimate.

While burrowed you retain full vision so she doesn't encroach on eves space either. She is firmly a beast all her own in the jungle and in team fights shes probably closest to darius in that she is a true damage time bomb who dishes out consistant AOE dmg around her while being fairly easy to kite.

If what you're saying is true, you just combined two of my favorite junglers into one. Eeeeexcellent.

Also, obligatory "rekt" joke

Eh, Taric still needs a rework, so Braum really didn't "take" anything away from him.

Skarner is more of a dps/CC fighter Noc is a combo global assassin/ridiculously hard to kite fighter

Rek'Sai looks to be neither of these. She only has one hard CC in her knock up. Her ult while global is dependent upon her having a tunnel to travel to (At least that is how it is being portrayed). She really doesn't have anything that could force you to pick her over Skarner or Nocturn.

did u ever play her? The sustained damage is not on nocturns level(the burst is awsome though) Scarner offers alot more cc 'Lee sin level of mobillity', like..no, just no. her mapmobillity through her own jungle is great, but besides that, mobillity is more her weak point, she'S much closer to a renekton level of mobillity...just that her E got even more cd.

Rek'Sai will never have the same amount of damage or CC as Skarner.
