A question about a weird thing I've been seeing at the end of games...copies of items on end???

This question is more for those people who have been around the game for a while. I've been seeing people on losing teams (or those who die on the winning side) suddenly selling off all the items that they bought during the game and putting things like this in their inventories: or or

I sort of understand the tear one - if on a losing side. But other than trolling the team (if they have to continue playing), what is the significance of this? Is there some sort of meaning or hidden code behind the item choices?
