Is sheen an on-hit effect?

Yeah, sheen is an on-hit effect. It'll be applied by things like Ezreal and Gangplank Q's.

People often get excited thinking they can have it hit multiple times with things that apply multiple on-hit effects either simultaneously or rapidly, or AOE applications, but sheen gets consumed after one application.

Lately i've seen some players buy: item 3057 item 3078 and item 3025

So fyi: they do NOT stack

Actually, they do stack in a way. When you have both Trinity Force and Iceborn Gauntlet:

  • the target will take damage from by the Trinity Force spellblade (2x Base AD)
  • targets around the target(but not the target themselves) will be damaged by the Iceborn Gauntlet spellblade (1.25x Base AD)
  • the slow field will appear around the target

Not to say stacking Sheen items is efficient, just pointing out that they do technically stack.

correct. Also item 3100 takes priority over item 3078

Since Sheen benefits from lifesteal, I think it's technically considered an autoattack modifier instead of an on-hit effect. It can be applied by skills which apply on-hit effects (such as Ezreal Q or Gangplank Q), which can confuse the matter.

I red that Eve's ravage will apply on-hit effect, but does BOTH hits apply them?

You need to take note that the Sheen proc, Spellblade, is consumed when it's used. When you cast a spell, your next attack gets the bonus. Cool. It's just that next one. Not two. Not three. One.

So, there is no possible way for Ravage to apply multiple procs of Spellblade, as it will get consumed on the first use, like every other time.
