What the hell is going on with Evelyn anymore (as an assasin)

A champ that is supposed to be an assasin, but that cannot do her job for shit. An insanly squishy assasin that is LESS strong and MORE squishy then the average assasin.

Her ult, Her shield is gone in a matter of second (1-2) It is outclasse by far by other kind of sustain that many assasin have

Hate spike, like wtf...., it cant be removed because....part of identity i guess...? Ravage base damage is just so god damn low for an assasin, i do understand that it has 100% ratio on both ap and ad but a 210 base damage seems low.

So what is going on for Evelyn now. Another rework?

Many nerfs hit by the NerfBat from Riot? (I can see that happening)

Buffs in the future? (that would be extremly surprising)

Well Riot already nerfed her to the ground, that's why she's so weak. And they don't want to work on her because of how hard her stealth is to build around. So they keep nerfing her because they think her stealth makes her too strong. With all the changes and nerfs, she just got weaker and weaker.

She needs buffs and a rework, but Riot has other champs they want to work on first.

Evelynn is classified as a diver, not an assassin. Her stealth makes her access to the back line TOO good so she can't have real burst without instantly becoming overpowered. You're supposed to flank the back line and annoy the crap out of them while staying alive so your allies can handle the rest.

Shes not a burst assassin, shes a dps assassin. She works in a way that no other assassin really does because of this. You have to know what fights to pick and what fights not to. Her perma stealth is such a powerful strategic tool that she CANT be a burst assassin. She USED to be. Back in season 1. Before the first rework, when she had a stun and her stealth was activate-able. She was back in season 2, when DFG was OP as balls and her ult cast range was FARTHER than the range she could be seen at (One shotting people from the fog of war was so much fun). But her core identity always revolved around stealth and her early incarnations were the most overpower champ this game has ever seen. Hence why shes the most reworked champ in league history.

Eventually things settled down and she found a niche as a dps assassin instead, and the key to her is using her passive properly to pick the RIGHT fights that you can win, regardless of build. If you knew what you were doing with that standard AD bruiser build you would still 100-0 a target in less than 1.5 seconds. That build was also very good at split pushing as she could wave clear pretty easily and take towers quickly while always have the ability to escape a bad situation. The thing about eve is shes the most STRATEGIC champion in league. You have to apply a proper strategy with her to consistently win games. This is why shes also one of the absolute most difficult champions in league. Shes simple as pie in terms of mechanics, but that's not what makes her hard. What makes her hard is you have to be a very cerebral player to utilize her effectively.

So basically there is nothing wrong with her. She just has a really high skill cap to be properly utilized?
