@Riot: Is there something wrong with Tenacity being "good"?

Mercury's Treads got nerfed, Tenacity via masteries is hard to allocate for, Zephyr was removed (bottom-tier pick-rate, I know), Elixir of Iron cost increase, etc.

Something tells me Riot hates a stat that lets you reduce CC duration. True or false?

Because Irelia. Irelia is to Tenacity as Vlad is to spellvamp.

So why have they not reworked Irelia?

So why have they not reworked Irelia?

This is an excellent question. In her current state Irelia is practically unbalance able. A 2 second point and click stun, sustain, Tenacity, a gap closer and mana refunds.

She can be built full tank and still rip through people, and BoRK fits her so well, as does Fervor of Battle.

I imagine the reason Irelia has not been reworked yet is simply that her low pick rate reduces her priority.

Elixir of Iron cost increase

That had nothing to do with the cost increase. All of the consumable elixirs had their price increased to 500G.

It still nerfed people's access to it.

Elixir of Iron got 100 gold more expensive, but now also give a lot of HP. Enough to easily make up for the cost increase.

If tenacity is easier to access, then CC becomes less potent with no way to increase its duration. It's an arms race that CC usually lost.

Tell that to knock-ups and knock-backs.

Not every champion with a stun has a knock up/knock back.

Uhhh True? Why do u think riot keeps making champions that have knock ups....

Eh, no one else built Zephyr to replace boots? I mean, it's better than Merc Treads. The only time I wouldn't do it is against a heavy auto attack team, where I'd keep my Ninja Tabi.

You'd rarely reach that point, and pro players never did it.

Yeah, ur right. But why wouldn't pro's do it? Meybe it's for the homeguards.. this was when you didn't get free homeguards at 20.

Tenacity is an odd stat. It is invisible power with no counterplay, but it seems to be rather necessary for tanks and fighters to do their jobs (all the survivability in the world doesn't matter if you're snared for 3 seconds).

Tenacity is a stat with low levels of satisfaction but high levels of frustration.
