Evelynn needs a trade-off for mindlessly spamming / wasting her charms

For being such a monstrously strong abillity its cooldown, even at level 1, is WAY too low. She can just keep re-using it over and over and over without taking a break. Perhaps give it the Master Yi meditate treatment?

I mean, for it to even be good she needs to wait 2.5 seconds for it to even charm. Otherwise it's slow.

Also 14 seconds ain't that low, not how you're trying to make it sound at least.

Thing is, the duration of Evelynn's charm makes up for its cooldown. It can zone ANY champion in the game due to the mindless burst combined with the guaranteed 3 second charm + magic resist reduction it provides. This might not be a big deal in the early game, but mid/lategame evelynn can zone an entire team on her own by forcing them to stay in their base, lest they risk being charmed, caught out and one-shot.

By the time the charm pops she is already on top of you, and due to her long range there is no way to evade the charm - even under towers. Even if you do stay in safety, by the time the charm duration has ended she is ready to re-cast it. It's Illaoi syndrome, but put on an assassin - you either try to fight and get completely dumpstered, or you run away and give the enemy team a free map. There's no counterplay.

Now i'm not sure how bad the problem is in other ranks, but she's completely dominating diamond rank solo queue. Your team can only have five control wards at a time, and even when you can see her she can easily flash on top of you and nuke you - wether you are a 5 adaptive helm galio or a zhonya's hourglass malzahar.

It's a 2 second charm, not 3. There are several seconds when fighting her when the W is down + the time it takes to get the charm to activate. So there is still plenty of counterplay around her W.

Idk if its that strong to warrant a 30+ second cd. You can see the direction she used it from when its ready to pop, and if she misses it shes going to do very little damage.

Perhaps in the lower ranks nobody knows how to properly utilize Eve's strengths. In Diamond she is so oppressive that players are unable to leave their base after evelynn reaches level 11. She can burst down ANY champion in the game, and she will happily sit right outside the vision range of your tower for five minutes if that's what it takes for your patience to run out.

Its 17 sec at lvl 1...thats pretty long. And 9 at max lvl.... With cdr items. Way 2 low my ass.... Kayn runs through walls for a free heal every 15 sec all game. Yasuo throws out a knock up at 1400 range every 3 sec whilst in lane. Bk hook is every 18 sec. Ahri charm is 15 sec at lvl 1.

Fully disagree. Late game you better click on the adc or mid laner maybe the supp if the enemy has real team comp. Thwy will have atleast 1 tank to hide behind . Once you click on them. The enemy has 2.5 sec to stand infront of whoever you click on and eve cant reach them because she has no gap closer. Or they can back up for 2.5 sec and be fine after that. That spell is far from mindless and eve has to have preemo positioning in all points of the game to make use of it.

You do not zone a whole team by clicking a single target spell on 1 champ. And late game an adc should be buying gss to deal with cc. And a mage should buy banchies. If you don't counter build your enemy you are asking to lose plain and simple.

I'm not sure if that's meant to be a joke. Well the easier you make a champion to play, the weaker you have to make them.

Remember the year of the metal Golem (COU-JARVAN-GH)? Remember how insane Katarina got? Remember when Evelyn lost her stun because she was just considered too overpowered? They had to water down those Champions simply because they were too easy to play.

Kassadin - Rift Walk has been converted to Rift Crawl. Sivir- On the Hunt has been converted to On the Run.

Jk

The trade off is that she lost alot of her power for how many ever seconds the CD is

If you can't Q as soon as that charm procs, just stop playing. You know EXACTLY where she is.

So sick of people useing the term Mindless to describe eve or even almost every champ in the game.

First of all, all champs have only 4 buttons.

Second. Evelynn specifically relies almost 100% on positioning skill. If you don't know how to move or if the enemy tank sees you your whole fight prowess is stuffed.

She has to preplan who she wants to attack. And then tell the enemy team who she wants to attack. Then wait 2.5 sec to attack them. And if you don't do it in that 2.5 sec window you have to back up and wait over 10 sec to do it again. You also have to land a skill shot or flash e to get your cc. Then dodge any incoming cc or die in 2 hits. Not to mention. Any mage can buy banchies and you cant charm them. And any ad champ can buy either buy qss or the lethality item wuth the active spell sheild.

There are so many ways to avoid eves charm and currently eve is under tuned and fairly useless in team fight situations if the enemy has a real team composition.

Also. Eve takes about 3.5 sec to kill any glass cannon champ with 1 defensive item or 3 sec with no deffincive items. POST CHARM. If you dont get the charm ad .75 sec to each. And in over a 4 sec window she can easily be killed any number of ways.
