I secretly hope that Vlad doesn't spend another three years in the trash

Yes, he had his time, and with this patch Riot pointed out the counterplay is still insufficient and toned down his stats rather painfully. I understand the reasons that led to this, and I have only one little plea for the sake of my beautiful main:please don't leave him in the trash for ages again.

He's a fun, distinct, I interesting and beloved champ with a solid fanbase. Surely you can attempt to revisit his visuals and kit the next available time? Sort of how Gankplank's major update had a smaller Miss fortune one with it. Hopefully the Noxus event could bring revisited Swain and also Vlad.

Many thanks if you listen, Riot.

Vlad is really OP right now, I don't understand how you think he is weak.

No. He really isn't.

Kind of is, ever watch what a pro player does with him in the LCS? Shouldn't be allowed.

The only reason he is played in LC$ is because of Haemoplague. The champion really isn't overbearing in solo queue. Especially against an early item 3123

You just prefer to complain rather than abuse his obvious and intended weaknesses.

That's not the only reason he's played in LCS, he can 1v2 or 1v3 anyone on the opposing team if played correctly.

Please, provide me with some footage of Vlad 1v3 ing. :)

He isn't overbearing in soloQ anymore, because he was nurfed for being overbearing in competitive.

Hemoplague is one of reasons, but not the only one. Vlad is batship crazy broken in compositions oriented about enabling him in teamfights, like all variations of Sivir composition. He is also the only significant magic damage threat in the game who can sustain himself for arbitrary time, applying constant pressure without need to recall. That's huge in competitive, because vast majority of AP midlaners can't infinitely pressure a lane - they need to recall either for mana or for HP. A Lux or Syndra can't really ever be a solid 1 in 4-1 or 1-3-1. Vlad can.

Well yeah, I'm talking about his current state.

He just got nerfed very harshly though.

My issue with Vlad is this:

One of the major goals of the MYMU for him was to add meaningful interaction with his laner concerning his Q. The result is a two charge system that deals bonus damage and heals more. Forgive me, but that doesn't feel meaningful. The thought process behind the Q is exactly the same: spam Q on enemy laner and use it to last hit if needed. I like the Ultimate change and I can deal with the E, but that Q change was just pointless imo.

He most likely will, unless he gets changed again.

The rework didn't make any meaningful changes to Vlad. It added some counterplay to Q and E, and healing from WoTA was replaced with innate healing. And that's kind of it.

It's not that I wish him that, but if he was lying in gutter before, and nothing meaningful changed about him, I can't see it ending up any other way. Same thing happened to Zyra - her update didn't change anything meaningful and was basically a bigger QoL change, so she still has the same problem as before: she has to be balanced about supporting, because if she is balanced about midlane, she thrashes all supports.
