Ryze Ultimate Ping

Is there a reason for the inconsistency in Ryze's ultimate not having an alert ping for either team, while others such as Tahm Kench's do? If you have vision of the location he is teleporting to I think it would be a fair balancing point to let that information be available considering how powerful the playmaking potential is.
