cant help it if you dont understand which items are the most effective at doing the job you want.

if you want to survive vayne the solution is attack speed modifiers and pure armor, not health.

thats like saying a mid laner should buy item 3001 against Zed when the goal they have in mind is to prevent his damage. i mean it technically reduces his execute magic damage.

why not go frozen mallet over warmongs? gives you a slow and AD with only 100 less hp.

Actually I gives you 50 more if you get the stacks on item 3052 because that gives you 150 bonus perm health if you get all the stacks so 700+150=850 while warmogs only gives you 800

If all you have against Vayne defensively is a warmogs, her %hp true damage is probably not going to make a difference.

It'll be, what, maybe 300 damage tacked on to her 3 1000 damage crits that came before that. Wowzers, that true damage is definitely what's killing you.

Like yeah, she's dumb as hell right now, but don't pretend her W is somehow part of the problem, because it's not, at all.

Randuin's Omen is probably the best sole defensive item against Vayne(or most ADCs) since it provides Crit Damage Reduction, Armor, Health and an attack speed slow.

I'm assuming the plan is that you will either be in a situation where you can solo her, if your champion is able to do that and you're lucky enough to catch her alone, or that your team will followup on you tanking the hits by ending her if possible, or by winning a team fight. At the very least you need to be the most effective tank you can be if that's your role, and those items might be important if Vayne is a significant threat.

So far, the only counter to her I know of is nuking her with a 1 shotter, which funnily enough tend to be AP carries now rather than assassins whose job description is delete priority target.
