Is it time to revisit (get rid of) autofill yet?

Matchmaking is honestly starting to become really annoying to the point I don't even want to play ranked anymore. I know I'm not aces amazing, but it is hard to climb when you get autofill important positions like jungle.

Just tonight I've had an autofilled adc today who didn't know how to play marksman (they mained mid and top I guess) so he just played Vel'Koz and went 0/6 in about 8 minutes ad change. I just had an autofilled jungler who ganked zero times the entire game because he was afraid of dying while we had the "pleasure" of going against a jungle main streamer doing one of those "iron to challenger" bs things (he shared his stream after stomping us pretty hard and mocking us for it on top of things). Someone who somehow got autofill top when they wanted mid so they just trolled. 3 different junglers who were autofilled and all just went Yi and had no idea what they were doing playing like top laners.

The worse issue is I can't blame ANY of them but maybe 1 (the troll) because you can't slap someone into a position like jungle, especially in lower elos, who has never played it and expect them to win against someone who mains it. You are basically handing one team a major handicap that is near impossible to overcome. I will gladly go to sitting in queue 3 minutes longer or 5 minutes long or whatever if it means myself and others don't have to be autofilled or deal with autofill like this. It's a toxic experience and it just feels terrible.

Autofill is a necessary evil. Queue times in high elo would be absolutely unbearable for some players, however it is so far from perfect that it's honestly pathetic that Riot hasn't looked to tweak it slightly to make the entire system less frustrating as a whole. The main 2 issues I have with autofill is that it occurs too often and is often inconsiderate of the enemies you're facing (i.e. putting an autofilled player against a player who mains their role). I think autofill would be a lot less frustrating if they worked on these two issues.
