Somebody compared Zed's base stats to Shen's base stats, Let's compare Zed to other tanky champions

Zed's defensive stats Health 579 – 1939 ARMOR 26.9 – 86.4 (not going to include MR because all Melees except Kassadin and Yasuo have same MR)

Darius Health 582 – 2282 at Level 1 he has 3 more health and at level 18 he has 343 more HP than Zed) Armor 29.9 – 97.9 at Level 1 he has 3 more armor than Zed and at level 18 he has 11.5 more armor than Zed)

Illaoi HP 586 – 2201 at Level 1 she has 7 more health and at level level 18 she has 262 more health Armor 26.0 – 90.6 level 1 lower armor by 0.9 and level 18 higher by 4.2

I could go on for long but what I want to say is that Shen has low base stats, not Zed has high!

Even tho Shen is the tank with lowest base stats, it's compensated by his spammable shield and W which blocks auto attacks and comparing that to Zed who has no defensive steroids is just dumb.

zed isn't a tank. it makes no sense for him to have defensive stats higher than a tank when he's an assassin.

I think the arguing point is that Shen builds mostly tankier and beefier items. Also his kit provides even more utility for defense. If you put that with some keystone mastery, even with less base defensive stats he is tankier. I don't agree with how safe Zed is and assassins like him should be restricted by Feast or Famine... OR at least he must invest a full core item in order to farm efficiently in lane. Right now, Zed is the same copy and paste build (on the occasion you build different defensive build WOW such diversity) that is more of a champion that's as safe as some of the top safe champs in the game + have one of the better assassinations + has the safest laning out of most assassins and even champions + was just given free reign of ult use with QSS no longer effective against it. Let's face it. At this point anyone who does defend Zed is just a freelo fotm abuser. But I do agree that Zed should have high base stats while Shen might not. Shen is also a fighter, not just a pure tank.

The real surprise is how bad Illaoi base stats are.

Sure, it's not Aatrox level of crapiness, but holy ------ her base stats are terrible for how litte utility, mobility and CC she has.
