You don't runway from Darius you sit on him and you laugh that his Q does nothing to you and nothing for him. That's right, to counter this melee you stay in melee range. It's very unintuitive and very daft but that's how this is. It took me a Darius vs Darius to understand his 2nd flaw: you want to get close but not too close, none of that touchy feely stuff in Noxus apparently.

Deadly Mittens1 votesEvery Darius I've fought top has built cleaver while I built sunfire as darius and I slaughtered them.... better nerf juggernauts who are doing well. Not those 6 mages who've been sitting in top 15 for over a year.
Brascus1 votesI cap 1.0 attack speed first to get 5 stacks asap, in a D v D this means you'll have 5 stacks while the other D's Q does no damage. With some attack speed runes + 1 attack speed item it's a cheap first build that snowballs well against other champs. I used to do 2 attack speed items but found out that 1 is usually enough if you fill the rest with some runes/masteries.
