Seriously, how do you counter Evelynn?

I've been playing against her more lately and during teamfights/ lane fights she just poofs in and kills ya.

She is soft but she does so much dmg so quick you can't even outrun her or get setup before you're dead. There should be a item you can carry with you that seems enemies, just like can see enemy traps/wards.

These are just not convenient when the cooldown on the lens being so high and randomly placing wards everywhere you walk isn't convenient either.

She just got a huge quality of life buff for almost no reason with the preseason patch, when every single other assassin got nerfed, and now has a rather high winrate for a champ with a very high skillcap. She didnt need that buff, and it is a big deal - it makes chasing her down extremely difficult now.

I play her quite a lot, and I think she's definitely teetering on the strong side right now.

Use control Wards to ward key positions.

Use the Blue plant to get vision on her.

When you know her position her biggest strength is gone already.

Play passive in lane=eve doesn't snowball and becomes useless. She also isn't too good late game unless the enemy keeps letting you get picks.

That's the issue with eve, always get super fed during lane phase because the ganks are too easy to pull off, then can't carry because bad teamfight.

She has a -great- teamfight potential. She can initiate and immediately knock off 1/4 of everyone's HP right off the bat and set them up for a perfect malph or amumu ult, and tank any retaliation with that huge-ass shield. With decent CDR, she can do this very often.

Plus if you have to completely change your playstyle and not go aggressive at all in lane, when the enemy is completely free to do whatever they want, she's already done her job without having to do anything at all.

And I'm saying this as an Eve main - she got buffed when every single other champ in her role just got nerfed. Ofc she's going to stand out and be strong right now.
