Can we please have an option to wait longer to get our preferred role? @Riot

Not everyone has to use this option, but having the option to wait longer would fix a lot of problems

Those who just join ranked to be playing a videogame that don't care about who they play with, their rank, or how the game goes at all can continue to queue for 2 roles and get thrown into whatever,

and those who actually care about improving can wait the extra time for a much better quality game,

Forcing people to play an off role to speed the matching process up does not improve the quality of this game, it diminishes it insanely, please keep that in mind

Not sure how I feel about this, but for those times I get burnt out on playing support (my main) I get really frustrated when I get support every time as fill. Maybe, after a few hours of playing support with adc's, I would like to play adc myself to learn more about what I would need to do as a support to actually be more helpful. Or maybe I just don't want anything to do with support without risking bringing my team down by playing a third role I am simply not going to perform well enough at to keep my team afloat.

Supports specifically get pdigeon-holed here and it can be very frustrating.

all i'm asking for is the option to say i personally would like to wait until a spot is open for me to play my preferred role, rather than be forced into something I don't play as well, and risk my role being taken by someone who should not be playing ranked at all.

The design of this very game is toxic in the sense that if you aren't better than everyone else and carrying the game, you will lose 95% of the time, so why is asking for the ability to work hard in something i'm good at not a reasonable request in this game? I'm not asking for it to be easy to win, i'm asking to get my role so i can work hard and possibly carry my team.

You don't go to work and all of a sudden become an accountant that day and then get fired because you only took one accounting class in JR college 10 years prior, so why does Riot expect that anyone on earth is going to like that mentality while playing this game? Dynamic queue has made it infinitely harder for me to climb as I get my role WAY less than when i was playing in solo queue.

I believe it's meant to counter long timers like in teambuilder days. If everyone went adc then waiting for adc could take hours, but having adc as your main role and top as your secondary meant you might get a game to enjoy just in a different role.

I think the bigger issue here is people pidgeon-holing themselves into just one playstyle or role. For supports I think this is harsh. They either support forever and hate that they can't play anything else or they have to abandon it completely and learn 2 separate new roles.

what long timers? i can't remember ever waiting more than 2-5 minutes for teambuilder outside of when i tried to make an account on LAN, which those games would never start because no one there played it at all. but in NA the only time you'd wait is if it was your fault and you chose to not take certain supports or junglers.

and honestly i'd rather wait all day for a few good quality games than play 10 where my teammates are monkeys in roles they shouldn't be practicing in ranked.
