I'm not sure where to put this, so I'm just gonna put it here.

Shadow Orb: 80 Ability Power +10% movement speed UNIQUE Passive: Any magic damage you deal ignores 15% of the enemy's magic resistance UNIQUE Passive: Standing still for 3 seconds causes you to become invisible. Enemies within 500 range can see you while invisible. UNIQUE Active: Activate to go invisible for 5 seconds. You can move during this time, but enemies within 500 range can see you.

Builds from and Total Cost: 2300(600)

Let's not give free invisibility to champions ever, ok. Nobody enjoys suddenly having to contend with a LeBlanc pushing mid hard, then cming out of stealth and instantly killing your carries before anyone can react. Or a Katarina. Or a Orianna. Or literally any mage or assassin or tank (yeah, bet you enjoy that 6 stack Cho'Gath coming out of stealth near you).

That was kind of the point. Maybe I could make the invisibility take longer, or the item cost more?

The problem is invisibility for any champion is extremely powerful and broken; you can't react to something you cannot see and have no idea is there. Nobody (except the player) enjoys Katarina coming out of stealth to murder your entire team, or Cho'Gath suddenly knocking everyone up before devouring a carry. There's no counter to that except "have wards literally everywhere" and "pink ward/upgraded sweeper every single place".

How about if you're in a certain range of them, you can see them (like evelynn)?

How about if you're in a certain range of them, you can see them (like evelynn)?

It becomes pretty worthless at that point, since you have to be motionless in the first place. It is a cool idea, don't get me wrong, but itemized stealth makes picking certain champs pointless, and it is extremely hard to balance when a full ap team could get it and ambush anyone, at will.
