Getting back into SR

It's been a while since I regularly played this game. I have been playing lately but I only play ARAM. I have been wanting to get back into SR but I am quite awful at this game if I'm being honest. My biggest concern is that I've heard the meta has shifted away from ADCs so what are some things I should know about the current state of the game before getting back into SR? I'll just be playing normals and my elo has only ever been mid bronze to low silver, should my lack of skill provide any other additional insights into what I should expect.
