Which support to buy?

Hey guys! So I've decided that I want to be a support player in LoL. At the moment the support champs that I have are Sona, Leona, Braum, Janna, Soraka and Alistar. I was wondering which champ to buy. I need your help guys. Also atm I have 3150 IP. So I can't buy the real costly ones

Personally, I would recommend refunding Sona and then use that 6.3k to buy any support you want. Bard, Thresh and Zyra for example are all great picks and if the past 2 years since Gutting 4.13 are any evidence, Rito doesn't plan on allowing Sona to ever be a playable character.

Then you aren't playing her right.

She can be a good support thanks to auras, multi person stun, and her poke with her Q.

She doesn't even use auras anymore... or did you not bother reading patch 4.13? Oh wait, that's right. Fearless intentionally hid the changes from both the patch notes and News Post announcing her gutting.

Still, I'm amazed you haven't noticed in these past 2 years.

Plus I started playing Sons last year and she still had auras...

They are bugging Sona on PBE . refund her would be ridiculous.

They'll probably just decide on nerfing her again in the end. Sona has never received a real buff in this game's entire history and Meddler himself publicly said more than once that he doesn't want Sona to exist anymore. I won't believe she'll ever receive a positive change until it actually happens.

Morgana and Thresh are key supports you're missing right now. Zyra and Karma are meta support picks right now, so wouldn't be terrible to pick up.

Do yourself a favor and save up for thresh, trust me. He's an all around great support with utility, damage, poke, great all-in potential, tankiness and a high skill cap to boot. I main thresh and in Gold 3 and can say he can carry not only a lane but a game. Good luck with supporting friend, and I hope you keep this in mind :)

You can try getting morg if you're good with skill shots. She has a lot of catch potential late and her laning can be pretty annoying

Buy Blitz. Thresh is ok, but requires a good team (e.g. bad players never click on lantern). Blitz is difficult to master, but it is worth it, because if your team is slightly weaker, you can turn the tides. Morgana is a good choice as well but also requires a decent team.

I don't like Blitz. His moveset is very mana hungry. I was thinking about Karma. i played a game against her and she completely train wrecked my team

The thing about Blitz is that he can often do his job without actually using his abilities. The threat of a hook is strong enough to give your team the advantage they need; you just need to wait to use it wisely.

Exactly. But not everybody like that playstyle. Some people prefer mages with spawnable abilities. But the author didn't specify his playstlye he only asked a suggestion. And blitz is a great supp if you can handle it.

Morgana She's the most versatile. Q = very strong root. W = a strong spell to zone enemies with or help push a wave. E = is a shield that blocks magic damage and CCs R = is well AMAZING

No one named him but Taric can be extremly powerful in good hands, AoE Kayle ultimate can change losing fight into winning. Taric can be good as well
