Why are all Jins skills literally just a better version of someone elses?

Q Katarina but more damage.

W Jinx but faster, goes through minions, AND snares.

E Teemo shrooms but delayed damage and a normal ability instead.

R Caitlyn ult but 4 times. And slows because why not.

Thanks for your meaningful contribution.

You know its true.

Kat Q resets and hits more targets. Jinx E always slows and gives vision of the target. Teemo R is guaranteed damage. Cait R has longer range, and will (almost) always hit someone.

1 more target or more damage. Which is better? Vision or a snare? Which is better? Teemo R is an ult so it makes sense his are better. Cait R does NOT have longer range. And it almost always hits a tank or someone other then the intended target.

Kat Q also resets, so it does more damage (also, more targets means more damage). (Edit: Kat's is also way faster so harder to avoid) Jinx slow is guaranteed whereas Jhin's W only snares if an ally recently hit them. Also, vision is very nice when checking bushes and objectives. Thank you. Weird, Cait's ult always felt longer to me, but you are right there. It is still a guaranteed hit on someone though where Jhin's ult can be dodged, missed, or they can just walk out of the area.

I do believe Jhin's ult is better than Caits, but Cait has other advantages over Jhin.

Because you play a champ for the enjoyment of their full skill set/how everything meshes together, their theme, their lore, etc.

It's not about ability A being similar to ability B.

Otherwise I could just complain that certain champs have stronger auto attacks than others. Each stat or ability is just a cog in the machine that is that champion.

Certain abilities can be annoying sure, but comparing them on an ability by ability basis is asinine.

Riot themselves has said that J4 Q and Lux R are the same ability except for range and effects, but you don't see (a lot) of people complaining about either or. Especially nobody saying "OMG WHY DOES LUX HAVE J4 Q AT A LONGER RANGE WITH MORE DAMAGE OMG SUCH SALT!"

because

  1. riot recycles code and designs because only fools try to reinvent the wheel everytime they leave the house
  2. if you take an ability from 4 different champs and add stuff to them it doesn't mean you'll have a good champ

Braum - Q shoots and does some damage but without braums passive Ezreal - W shoots and does some damage but without ezreals passive or E Garen - E spins to win but you cant cast the other abilities while using this Nasus - R gives you hp and some bonus melee damage

holy shit what a useless champ, you can buff this maybe but borrowing stuff from others doesn't make your champ great.

Also that Caitlyn comparison was terrible. Caits ult is targeted and does full damage on the first and only shot

The only thing I really don't like is his ults kills dropping traps and the scaling his traps have. It is very easy to miss a trap in a big hectic fight and lose half your health from a fire and forget skill. A good setup wombo with a hard snare/stun on stacked traps can 1 shot a full health champ possibly even a bruiser. Yeah I know that is a silly scenario but it would be super frustrating to ward a bush walk in and STILL explode in no time at all.

Why downvotes?

The ult is a far superior version of Caitlyn's ult, yes.

Aside from that, the other abilities are not particularly similar... by that logic we could say the same about Fiddlesticks' entire kit., I.e. (Katarina Vladimir Nocturne Ahri )
