Should I pick up the role of APC or a fighter

Immorgul··1 votes·798 views

I am a level 13 player. And ever since I started league I've been an ADC main. My champions that I've used areAshe and Caitlyn . As I started playing more and more matches, I started to notice that the matches I lost that we had at least 3 ADCs. So I planned on changing my role. I thought that the role of a fighter(such as Shyvana ) or a support(such as Sona orJanna ) might suit me well. I wanted to know what you guys thought, Which will be a better transition for me?

Find some champions you enjoy playing.

I personally lean towards tanks and fighters.

Some people lean towards mages, ADCs, and/or assassins.

It's up to your personal playstyle and preferences.

Try for various champs, and then play the ones you like the most

then the role you should play will automatically be clear to you once you will deepen the knowledge of your preferred champs

you could kinda do both. there are some ad fighters that itemize like casters, as they get most of their damage off their spells, going for cdr and armor pen instead of attack speed.

Considering who you use, I would say APC.

Although APC and support are two very different things. Just saying :)

So which APC I should play as?(BTW how are they different)

APCs, known as Ability Power Carries, are the teams primary magic damage dealers. Some examples of such champions: Veigar Brand Annie . They all scale really well with AP hence the name APC. ANYWAYS! I'm getting side tracked here. Most APCs tend to fall into 3 categories: Mages who tend to have some crowd control ability of some sort in their kit. Assassins who just want to find a target and delete them. Or a Support.

A Support is a mage or tank, who usually doesn't deal tons of damage like an APC/Fighter but has lots of utility in their kit. Be it healing, lots of CC, or even poke damage. Though the support role is still very diverse in and of its self. I think someone else can better explain the role of support then me.

Hmm I see. Which APC should I get?

That there is the real question. Do you just want to delete people? Do you want to be a late game monster? Do you want to be flexible in where you can go?

There are TONS of different APCs that it could get overwhelming for me to list them all. An easier to obtain and very forgiving APC to learn with, who can even be played as a support (once you know what you are doing) is Annie . She has a conditional stun in her passive. And good damage early to late. More so late game she just becomes a Tibbers tossing terror in team fights.

What about Ahri ? I've played a few games against her and she completely slaughtered my team

She is a much more difficult APC to learn when compared to Annie. Her Charm is VERY important to her assassination combo. I have trouble with it myself honestly.

Every free champion rotation change take a look at the champions. Then follow their advice.

Basically: Find ones that seem like ones you might like and try them. If you don't like their playstyle, don't think about getting them and just try the next champion that interested you. Eventually you will find some that you like.
