They excel in different situations (i.e. Ashe is utility, Caitlyn is siege/laning). You can't directly compare them without having a certain situation or team-composition in mind.

I prefer ashe in this matchup. The way the lane goes depends on the support but both adc will probably just be happy to farm minions and fire q's at each other for 15 minutes if nether has an agro support. In the end the play very similar but ashe has the superior ult so I give the edge to ashe.

Support will win or loose the matchup indeed. There is no reason for ashe or cait to trade.

Ice arrow to the face is an effective way to stop mf ult. though MF ult is extremely OP right now - I expect it gets nerfs soon.

Yes. She's the best adc right now along with vayne/lucian. Caitlyn is better in almost every situation when compared to Ashe. Ashe is possibly the worst next to kog maw

Ashe is still excellent far ahead of caitlyn. Caitlyn is kinda fk with the fast game right now, she has the worst mid game of all adc.

She is, her numbers are great and her rain proc thunderlord, its impossible to trade
