Double Smite..... Really?!

Why is double smite needed? Yeah I understand that if you use smite in a team fight you might not have it to secure an objective, but that's kind of the point... If I use my smite to secure a kill I might not be able to secure dragon and vice versa. With the single smite you really have to analyze the situation to determine when is the best time to use your smite, but now with two smite you'll be able to easily secure a kill and dragon, baron, etc.

You say you want more diversity and you want people to focus on the objective but now your making it so the jungler can help win a team fight and then immediately secure a camp. That doesn't bring in any diversity because you no longer have to decide when it's a good time to smite, and it doesn't really set a focus on objectives (or it sets too much of a focus) because you can help win a team fight, take a tower, and then immediately secure a camp.

A 50% slow for 2 seconds can really determine how a gank goes. Let's say the jungler flies into a lane smites the opponent (with chilling smite) and with one smite the opponent could get away depending on how they play it and be fine. Odds are that they wouldn't have much health and now with 2 smites the jungler just needs to circle back around wait a few seconds, slow the opponent by 50% for 2 seconds and secure the kill. Did I mention it's a 50% slow? If you have 350 movement speed this would drop you down to 175 movement speed for 2 seconds!

They tried to keep people from easily taking early dragons, but now you just need to lead off with smite (at early levels it could take a while for you to get the dragon in smite to kill range) and now that you have a second smite 15 seconds later (assuming you have both stacks) you can secure dragon.

I know chilling smite is being nerfed now.

leading a dragon with smite leaves you open for counterplay easily, if the enemy team sees you blow smite they know they have 15 seconds to burn that thing and smite it away from you, which is easily doable if they are standing near the pit at all

It leaves you open if the enemy team knows you are attempting to take it. If they don't have vision (like how a lot of solo que goes) someone could easily solo dragon at a lower level than they can now.

well that depends on what tier you're in Bronze? dont even look at the mini map, its all black Challenger? fog of war? never heard of it We shouldnt be balancing the game around our shittiest players

Even in higher tier games I've noticed that there isn't always as much vision as you think their should be, but in solo que you really can't rely on your teammates to keep vision on certain areas no matter what rank they are. Especially if they are struggling in lane.

You can still get 2 smites into the game if you so desired isn't it?

The second smite just won't have the special effects attached unless you guys get 2 jungle items.

Smite only has one charge right now no matter how many jungle items you have. But in patch 5.1 they are giving smite a second charge. Both charges will apply the effect of whatever jungle item you have.

...And? They gave smite a 15 second cooldown before the 2nd can be used, and made the 2nd take 75 seconds to recharge instead of 60. Overall it means lategame a jungler can smite an actual camp and still be able to help fight for dragon/baron/teamfights.

Between objectives and ganking it's nearly impossible to really utilize the new neutral buffs beyond your first clear. Your smite is so important that the only one you can justify using it for is the free sweep from wraiths. The blue smite's slow is also being nerfed.

As for dragons, it's on you and your team to maintain vision and objective control. If you show up to stop the enemy jungler, he's given up a lot of time and resources for no gain, and you don't even really have to spend anything to stop him.
