Warwick's R

Simple, really. I understand the deal with CC effects and movement abilities... but I think that suppression should be a move that cancels movement effects. It's just a little silly to me when WW ults an enemy as they dash/jump/etc to safety and then is left ravaging... nothing. While the damage and the CC still apply, when you aren't in range after it ends to follow up or they jump to the safety of their allies or turret, it sort of defeats the entire purpose of his R.

And that being said, while I understand while he can't cast skills, I think his W at least should as ignite does. It's an ability that doesn't cancel your action, so you should be able to use it even during your R. It's easy enough to use it before you go in or right after, but I think it would be nice to be able to use it during so that you don't miss out on the duration of the AS buff and your teammates don't miss out on their chance to demolish the target under WW(or held by an invisible force just a dash away while WW furiously claws the ground).

Just some thoughts, I don't know for sure if other suppress abilities deny movement abilities, but I feel like they do--and if not, should.

I wouldn't worry too much about Warwick, he's slated for a rework after all and he's nowhere near the same level as Sion. I'd guess we could expect to see him in about half a year.

That said, yea Suppression should stop movement better.

Ever see a dog "going to town" on a stuffed animal/pillow? Ever remove the stuffed animal/pillow from the dog? He is still kinda "going to town" on air...

Kind of the same in my opinion! Hilarious and should be kept!

Never my dog. You try to remove the stuffed animal/toy/pillow and they come right along with it. Hilarity aside, it's a game play issue that should be resolved. Especially because when you go in to get a kill and then they move out to safety, it can leave you in a potentially bad spot.

Okay fine!!! 😉

It's really strange when enemies just walk/run/dash out of my ult and I'm clawing the air they occupied. I've never been entirely clear on what cancels what, but that just seems weird.

I'm not overly familiar with the "suppression" cc as a whole, but would changing this require other changes to others with suppression? I've personally been Malzahar when I ulted someone immediately before they flashed, and the length of my tether was hilarious. However should Malzahar's ultimate begin a tether at one location then travel to another location because your opponent started a dash, for the sake of consistency, you'd need to make it so that Malzahar's ultimate would prevent that incident from happening as well.

Just double-checked, Skarner and Urgot are the final 2 of 4 champs that have suppression, and I know I've seen Urgot's switching animation get spread via a dash and Skarner intercept targets by ulting them as well. So long as Riot would be willing to change these champs' mechanics (minus Skarner because he basically already has it) and make them consistent, that'd be fine with me. No champs would receive a significant buff through this, so I'd be all in favor of having suppression stop dashes on cast, despite their current interaction likely being kept for simultaneous casts with blinks.

The only time I've seen it happen and thought "Ok, I guess that makes sense." is when I launched myself at a Gangplank. Right as I select him, he start munching down some Citrus, finishing the animation as he is engulfed in fur and claws. And bam, he just walks out. This only made any sort of sense because sucking down oranges not only heals GP, it also removes disables. So I can kind of understand that it removed my Suppress. Now, I haven't read up on it, but I've been playing a while: I was beginning to think Suppression is supposed to be the End-All-Be-All of CC. It supposed to end everything going on and stop anything else from happening by being simultaneously a Silence, a Snare, and a Stun. Of course, I could be wrong. I seem to remember a time when you could use flash to escape a snare that already had you. No one else I've spoken to remembers this. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm actually remember my days wayyyy back on DotA v6.1
