Very unpopular opinion incoming.

Remove Klepto, it's doing more harm than good IMO. Gangplank, Illaoi, Ezreal and Nasus. These guys can absolutely abuse klepto and more than likely they'll get nerfed because of it. This keystone is so inconsistent with the champions it help that it winds up being actually abused more than it is actually used for helping champs it was made for. It's essentially taking champs with mid-late game power spikes and giving it to them in the early game causing a massive snowball which can potentially become unstoppable.

If certain champions are relying on Klepto to keep pace with other champs I'd say we have a bigger problem to look at.

Everything is unpopular opinion If you want to get on front page. At least he didn't put PSA, "I know I'll get downvoted for saying this" or misquote of one person presenting them as opinion of "the Boards" in the title.

saltran7 votes

A true unpopular opinion seems to be that GA =/= AD Zhonyas. Just by looking at what is downvoted in other posts.

Or saying that is fine that doesn't exist an AP QSS item.

Z3Sleeper7 votes

Just due the times and how the game has changed an AP QSS item is definitely necessary now. The fact that mages are finishing their QSS into a Mercurial Scimitar lategame instead of selling it and getting another AP item just goes to show how much they need it.

And GA is definitely not AD Zhonyas. It's vaguely similar but the triggering mechanism and cooldowns are vastly different.

unpopular opinion Zhonya is all but weak (weak for bad players tho).

I thought this was a popular opinion.

When the runes first came out in preseason, the popular opinion was that Ezreal is broken (you know that champ that hasn't been viable for a year) and Klepto was absolutely fine and dandy. I disagreed.

Velzard of Koz1 votes

No. People mostly complained Ezreal's on-hit mechanic is broken. People are fed up of Ezreal jumping out of nowhere into OP measures whenever any strong on-hit is introduced. If it happened once or twice maybe, but it's so expectable it justifies thinking of Ezreal's on-hit as broken mechanic. Then there was still a lot of people pointing out even champs like GP went strong with it and that Klepto is major problem, too.

Meh, if I introduce an item to the game that gives gold whenever an auto attack applies a dot, then I shouldn't be shocked when Teemo becomes OP. Does that mean nerf Teemo? Or get rid of the thing you just added that "broke" him? It's really stupid that Rito can't balance their shit.

Velzard of Koz1 votes

Okay, I will repeat myself again and very very slowly.

We would remove the thing that broke Teemo because it would be his first time.

Are you actually going to compare it to how many times Ezreal broke things? Why remove several items from several champions because one breaks it everytime for everyone? That's a problem of champion.

Boards said to nerf Ezreal and not touch Kleptomancy, only some said to nerf klepto and it was like "only a little". It was litterally the consensus. That ezrael is the "problematic child" and that he broke everything and klepto is fine.

Then GP (and GP has grasp of the undying anyway), then nasus, then Illaoi and suddenly people saw a problem.

Nobody said to remove klepto. But people did say to remove Ezreal Q on-hit interaction.

people are dumb that did nothing to ezreals gameplay..... and with that i mean dev team -.-

the problem isnt klepto at all....

it really is ezreal and nasus and illaoi and gangplank, but the problem with them is : ezreal spams a high damaging Q more than any mage can spam.....

nasus has 95% slowdown for 5 seconds lowers armor with X% and 1 or 2 shots everyone

illaoi has insane damage whilst being tanky and can proc that damage in AOE :/

coughcritplankcough still exists

klepto just helps them reach it faster @.@

It Hertz When IP3 votes

Illaoi has to set up that damage far ahead of time. She only has "insane damage" if you're dense enough to stand and fight her inside her ult.

But yeah, GP, Nasus, and Ezreal (especially the little blonde shit) have always had strong interactions with on-hit effects. Ezreal in particular is responsible for more items having to be nerfed/removed than anyone else over the course of the game's history.

One possible solution would be to have the Bag o Gold drop rate change based on how much gold you've already earned and/or your CS. Actual supports wouldn't notice any change, but solo laners and Ezreal would see the income benefit rapidly vanish.

Everytime someone starts a post with "unpopular opinion" they state something that the boards have been asking for screaming at the top of their lungs [sg-miss-fortune]

It's funny that OP knowingly posts this opinion and labels it unpopular while they know it actually isn't, in order to grab attention.

Hey guys I don't like klepto. Like and subsribe if you don't like klepto. Also, hit that upvote button and comment your uh favorite color or something. Thanks for the ego boost.

Replace Kleptomancy with Commencing Stopwatch. Thing might as well be a keystone.

FurriesAreHot4 votes

It was a cool concept but just isn't healthy for the game at all. Champions are either unable to use it at all, or are so broken with it, they are nerfed because of it, and only ever take it as their keystone.

Pretty sure ezreal and nasus are pretty balanced right now

Uh, just barely, and only with Klepto. That's a big problem and goes against what they're trying to accomplish with the new runes. (just referring to Ezreal here)

Cowgirl Ed2 votes

every 3 patches something like this come out, it's completely normal, don't worry.

the bigger problem you're referring to is called LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, which isn't as fun as it was many years ago. riot knows this, and doesn't really care to make the game that much appealing. they do a very mediocre job, that's all.

Sona is the only champion who should realistically be using klepto

Scary Door2 votes

When someone titles their thread "unpopular opinion", it means there's about a 90% chance that it is a rather popular opinion or a common circle-jerk on the Boards and it's an upvote farming, attention seeking post.

Yep, that's what this is.

Maybe I should make a thread

"Unpopular opinion, damage is too high in League of Legends!"

Cunky2 votes

This shit isn't unpopular, it's just clickbaiting. A truly unpopular opinion would be to say that you think that CT's champs are fun to play, and that he should make more.

Riot would be better off actually giving Bruisers a Keystone so that they can punish GP, Nasus & Illaoi like they used to.

Steelflame1 votes

IMO, Klepto needs to be turned into an Energized effect. This breaks the synergy between it and spellblade procs (Oh look... every Klepto abusers just happens to be a Trinity user), means you have to play around the Klepto proc chances because you can very easily just waste it on minions, and gives it an inherent cooldown in how long it takes to charge it by moving around, and gives enemies the ability to know "Ok, he wants this klepto proc, back off and he'll have to waste it on a minion instead."

Yordle Xayah1 votes

Oh, I thought it was gonna be a post praising an ADC character. Would have made sense with the topic's tittle. Remove Klepto? That's not as unpopular really...

nasus needs to get into melee range idk why they consider it good on him unless if you want to die 1v1 early lvls

Yeah just replace it with another keystone imo.

Hell yea

  • GP one trick
Enzos

I think one way to fix kelpot is to to garpsh of the undying it where after 3 sec or 5 secof of using a ability you can porc it and the timmer rest on a minion hit this make non kelpot abuser a more vaibly and kelpot gives 10 gold per hit
