The systems autofills people when it could have just picked their secondary roles

This guy queues bot/mid. I queue mid/top. I get assigned mid, he gets assigned top. Notice how it could have just put me top as my 2nd, and him mid as his 2nd. Instead,** it prefers to autofill this guy top even though he doesn't queue for it**

This just doesn't make any sense. This lobby could have been made without autofill if it just put us in our 2nd roles. Plus as far as I know top isn't even unpopular?? It should never have to autofill someone there

It should go:

Main roles. No?
2nd roles. No?
Autofill

Agreed, it's so inane that autofill can completely negate your choices when it isn't even necessary to do so.

It's because they also implemented a feature that guarantees that you get your primary role as well. That way people can que support secondary without always getting support.

I would prefer to ALWAYS be the two roles which I queue for, even at like 60%/40%, instead of usually 1st choice and sometimes a position I have no idea how to play.

I mean if it's either main role or autofill, why even have a secondary role??
