Master Yi and Olaf Balance

There are massive problems with these champs. No, I am not saying that they are "free-lo" or instawin, but honestly, they just lack outplay potential. They are both countered by CC, but that is situational, and both of their ults make them invulnerable to their only counter. This basically meaning an Olaf top against a lissandra is insta-win, and Master Yi jungle against a nautilus is just the same. These champs both have high burst damage, sustain, and CC/gap closer, depending on the champ. So basically, their only weakness is kited by long ranged people or just disengage with CC, both of which are made impossible by their ults. In a nutshell: Master Yi and Olaf are unoutplayable stupidly OP ban worthy champs that need nerfs. I am not saying these champs are not fun to play, as they are, but are just simply OP. I put a poll down below to ask what you guys in the community think.

MasterYi Only immune to slows. Not knockup, not stun, not roots/snares/entangle. So no, against Naut he doesn't just negate all of that. Naut has a stun on AA and a targeted knockup slow, plus there is his Q. This much already shows you don't know how to counter the champion if you think an immune to slow = immune to hard cc.

Olaf Biggest weakness is attackspeed slows, grievous wounds, and kiting. Kiting only requires that you can space the gap. Quinn Teemo Gnar Kennen Lissandra all have moves that allow them to get distance between them and Olaf with ranged poke. Hell, you could use Jax and abuse counterstrike and jump to minions/wards. Darius Fiora Also statistically destroy Olaf.

MasterYi Master Yi: Sure, ult does not negate everything nautilus has, but his e will do not much, plus master yi can heal, and Q to get away from his ult. Olaf Olaf: It is hard to kite with Olaf's R and Q being so powerful, and he has so much lifesteal grievous wounds will only slightly help. Also Darius and Fiora already are fairly OP in their own respect, and they are already basically instaban.

Heal can be stopped by hard cc as well. Which naut has 3.

As for Olaf: Q is a skillshot. Thats like being chased by a mundo. The 5 I have listed can really get away quite easily. A bounce off/ult movespeed, movespeed steroid that is partially passive, movespeed steroid and bounce, Movespeed steroid, and a delayed blink. The last having the ability to traverse terrain. Theres plenty of kite as Olaf lacks hard cc. Grievous wounds will help his lifesteal drop as that is the goal of GW. Mix that with item 3110 item 3046 or any hp item and you have a decent chance. Plus there is always Jax

Yi can dodge Naut CC with Q, and his ult will ignore his E. Gnar, Lissandra, Quinn, AND Kennen q is skillshot so that's out of the equation. Frozen heart will not do much as 15%<80% because of Olaf's W, the movespeed from his ult is enough to catch up to most champs, and though he does lack a wall hop/ dash, he can Q to slow then run around the wall with the move-speed steroid from his ult then Q again from picking up the axe, and he will not be CC'd in return. Phantom dancer may help, but only delay your death unless you are fizz building phantom dancer, in which case you are a complete idiot anyways. Jax is maybe one champion that can counter Olaf, because of the dodge, stun, and Q. Also, Jax does share good burst with Olaf, (surprisingly) but olaf can still ult and Q to catch up and ignore the stun. I do like how you are arguing till you cannot anymore, I am surprised by this, but am grateful.

Olaf is strong in 1v1 scenarios. His entire kit is designed around them. If you use things like anivia wall or jarvan ult, Olaf is completely trapped. Also, Olaf does only physical damage and his e, which uses his own health. Tanks therefore beat Olaf handily.

Master yi is tougher to counter, but high-utility champions and hard cc are historically his weaknesses. Instead of collapsing on yi with all your cc at once, try stunning him when the last stun ends. His q is only dangerous if he gets resets, and is his main gapcloser, so wait for him to q , then cc him. Yi preys on the disorganized, so communicate with your allies.

You must be blinded by salt right now if you think olaf is even close to being overpowered

Yi with Qss can not be stopped

QSS CD is way to high when compared to any CC abilities a champ has. It is good but not like he can't be stopped. If only they reduced the CD on QSS to say.. 45sec instead of 90.

Can't Yi be rooted even with ult active? I thought his ult stopped movement slows, but not roots/snares.

Yi is strong but not unbeatable. Olaf feels pretty weak right now unless someone is bad enough to feed him early kills. If he builds damage he blows up instantly and there are better bruiser champs to play right now. Olaf also falls off pretty hard late game.

I don't think I've seen an olaf one time this season.

Only time I've seen him is when I've played him, and that's pretty much been true for about a year, except right after Dyrus pulled him out.

I have never seen any olaf doing OP or carrying the whole team. Whenever I went Volibear vs Olaf , voli would chew him dead.
