Why do people think Katarina is OP?

This is kind of an argument page where I argue against people. But why do people think she is? I know a lot of people who do, but I don't know why, she has counterplay and TONS of horrible matchups.Katarina

EDIT: I want people who think kat is op to comment, and everyone else to argue.

They don't know how to play against her, take advantage of her weaknesses, or deny her resets during teamfights.

I've seen many people claim that "CC counters everyone so it doesn't count as counterplay against her" and it never gets less idiotic.

shes not op just consistently strong since her passive basically resets her cooldowns on kill/assists. as long as mid has cc as does support you are fine if you cc her ult shes pretty useless. once fed though you need to build mr and focus her or youll just lose every teafight

People only think shes op because they dont know how to

A. CC her when she ults B. Camp her lane for easy kills C. Let her get fed to insta kill you with her ult

The thing people hate about Katarina is that she can kill people faster than most people can react, then immediately jump to another target before she can be stopped with crowd control. A good Katarina will wait for the perfect time to jump into a fight, like when all their CC is burned or when their squishy targets can be 1 shot to begin her resets. This means that it can be very difficult to deal with her, especially at low elos and/or against teams with a lot of squishy champions who lack crowd control.

Well she's not really a balanced champion with her current kit. It's not a matter of her being OP but in every situation she is neither moderately strong or balanced in the sense. When she snowballs there is actually very little counterplay to how her kit is played given how fast she can simply burst someone down when she is ahead, get a cooldown reset, and then ward jump away. There's very little someone can do when faced with such a short window against a champion with such a speedy burst. When she is not ahead however she becomes a bit of a burden to her team because she really offers her team nothing aside from absorbing CC from the enemy team, dealing some magic damage and ultimately dying. As a champion she isn't really balanced at all, and her current state reflects that.

She isn't OP, really. she is just broken. Hella broken.

She is a resourcesless with low CDs and high as hell scalings.

Her lane pattern is dumb, with her just throwing Q's all day at no cost. Her only drawback is her shit bases, but Talon has the same issue and still needs mana, has a high mana cost on his 1 harass unlike her and has way less mobility and instant burst, as well as snowball potential.

She is broken, AND OP. aram offers a easy way to see how broken champs truly are, because it makes the teamfight situations on the rift happen constantly. It's insane how ofter i have gotten penta's with her (several per game) because her resets are just super fucking stupid. Resourceless with massive damage, and hyper scaling on her ult, hyper mobile, thats like 4 kits rolled into 1. if her shunpo was a dash, or you restricted which abilities got how much cd, i think she would be more fair. or have her passive scale from 3s to 15s at lvl18. also the whole "cc is her counterplay", "why is he/she not picked at high elo's" are such shit arguements because they basically admit on behalf of the user that you aren;t capable of thinking what is fair for yourself, you have to be told what is fair and balanced by a handful of nerds 1000's of km away.
