Why does Lee Sin have 7 abilities?

Q: Projectile then dash if projectile hits something. Understandable and kind if necessary to function. Damage is release Bayonetta ladder combos level of stupid, but whatever, not the point. W: First cast grants a shield to him and an ally, second gives life steal and spell vamp. Why does he get a second cast that gives him nothing but extra sustain, on top of the shield? E: High damage burst, followed by a second cast for a strong slow to all affected targets. I don't want to suggest giving the first cast of E more power by including a slow on the base, but why even bother with the second cast since you'll just likely double tap E immediately?

The only reason I can think would be that he was designed to auto attack a lot more often, weaving his autos using his passive between his abilities. Since he's one of the champs who is balanced around "how difficult he is to play," (Other examples being Riven, Kalista, and Azir before the latter two being dumpstered due to being pick-ban in every LCS and upper elo game) and his combo against champions doesn't utilize his passive and autos that much, wouldn't it make more sense to just apply the bonus affects to the normal casts (except for Q)? Would probably make him easier, albeit only slightly, thus more prone to balance changes, aka nerfs that he needs, which I don't want to discuss right now because that's a thread that has been created numerous times.

Who am I kidding though? The LCS Jungle posterboy will always be kept overloaded.

I suspect that when Lee was originally designed, Riot expected his passive to be quite a bit more important to his kit than it ended up being. Abilities like E and W were expected to have a lot of passive-based decision-making that they didn't really end up with. They could probably merge both actives of both W and E into one and it'd make little functional difference to Lee, which is a little disappointing from a design point of view.

Of course there's not really anything to gain from changing this either, but if Riot ever consider a rework for Lee Sin I imagine they will think about stuff like this.

why do you make shitty posts about a champion who was just heavily nerfed and isn't even top tier rn? There's a lot of questions unanswered in this world.

Lost 50 damage on ultimate at level 6, 100 at level 11, and 150 at level 16. And his E was changed to bring it in line with the new stealth changes. Meanwhile, he still has two 90% AD ratios for both casts of Q, the latter also dealing bonus damage based on missing health, a 100% AD ratio on his E, and a high base damage and a reasonably high base damage with a 200% AD ratio on his ult. And that is just his factual numbers. Mobility is something else to factor, and he has a dash on his Q and the ward hop for positioning.

Nope, still seems to be top tier.

Yeah, all those AD ratios and the meta lee build is what? 2 damage items? 2.5? almost like he needs those scalings to be relevant at all because his kit naturally falls off. Reasons why he's not built as an assassin despite having such high numbers^ and he's not godtier anymore. Tier 1 at highest. Want to compare his scalings to hecarim, and then compare his damage to hecarim? that would be fun, because hec does more while building less damage. ooh, or vi.

Lee is hardly overloaded, his abilities are very simple to use. The complexity and skill ceiling comes from the timing and good decision making needed to use them properly.

His level of kit complexity is nothing compared to elise and nidalee, and has less/similar level of decision-making and mental math to karma or rengar.

Any champion can be made to look extremely easy or hard. Passive: Move faster in bush and after hitting an enemy with Q or W, targets of Q and W get a mark Q: High damage long range line skillshot / Auto attack damage buff on low health targets W: Trap that reveals target and does damage, activates passive / Dash and damage, longer dash towards marked targets E: Heal & Attack Speed buff / AoE damage in facing direction R: Change forms.

Nidalee not saying she's easy, but when cut and dry, most champions can be made to sound simple. With your reasoning, every champion has a high skill cap because while their kits can be simple, it takes good decision making and timing to use them properly. With thoughts like that, you could say Nunu is a high skill cap champ. As much as I love him, he's not hard by any means.
