Relic Shield Nerfed? Or Broken?

So, as I understand it, and as the ingame text says, Relic Shield, and the other pieces in the Relic Shield tree of items, "execute minions below 200 health and...".

I've recently picked up Thresh, and I've been getting Relic shield on him, and my Auto Attacks do NOT execute minions. I don't follow every single patch update as much as I should, but I don't recall seeing this change, and apparently neither did the in-game description text.

Is this a change that was made and the in-game text was just overlooked? or is this broken?

Thresh is ranged. Relic doesnt work on ranged. But if you are a man, you will get E first and will execute those minions with aa.

That seems... well then... I'll just bow out on this one... seems a bit stupid, but yea. >.>

Because you could run double adc lane and the pushing power was too much

You still can get it as adc/support and both use it for extra gold generation, if you love your support that much and don't mind the lack of offensive stats, still grants the gold on ranged last hit, just no execute.

Not very optimal though....

If you read the text carefully, it would say "melee" basic attacks execute minions below 200 health. Thresh is ranged and it is definitely harder to share your gold with your adc.

yea, yea, I didn't notice melee until it was mentioned here :(
