The Auto-Upvote

FyshinaTux·7/26/2014, 2:57:33 PM·5 votes·815 views

Whenever you create a post, or reply to a post, or quote a post, your post is automatically upvoted by you. Can we remove that? It feels quite arrogant for me to upvote my own post. We couldn't do it on the previous iteration of the forums, I don't see why it does it here.

Just a thought.

Agreed. It's like if someone were writing a formula and added *1 next to every variable - it's just wasted space that makes the whole thing harder to interpret.

Because people would see a post that wasnt upvoted by anyone as worthless.

+1. It doesn't make any sense to start with base 1 rather than base 0. Also, the fact you can downvote yourself twice (Going from +1 to -1) is pretty ridiculous.

Hey,

Due to this thread being necroed we're going to be disabling further commenting on it.

Is there a switch for this? Seems like people already accepted the auto upvote feature.
