Whenever you create a post, or reply to a post, or quote a post, your post is automatically upvoted by you. Can we remove that? It feels quite arrogant for me to upvote my own post. We couldn't do it on the previous iteration of the forums, I don't see why it does it here.
Just a thought.

FyshinaTux1 votesI disagree, the idea of downvotes/upvotes is a good idea, it allows the community to know what's being looked at, and what's likely not worth their time. I just feel that the "automated" upvote that you give yourself when you post something doesn't really need to exist.

Daen2 votes+1. It doesn't make any sense to start with base 1 rather than base 0. Also, the fact you can downvote yourself twice (Going from +1 to -1) is pretty ridiculous.

Daen1 votesYou are effectively downvoting yourself twice. Going from a default of +1 to -1 is a net change of 2 points as you mentioned, but as the default is +1 it is functionally identical to two downvotes.
Whether being pedantic or not, it doesn't make sense.
